The Domain Solution Architect – Drug Development designs and supports technology solutions across the pharmaceutical R&D lifecycle. This role ensures that digital solutions align with business needs, architectural standards, and regulatory requirements to enable efficient, compliant, and data driven drug development.
Working closely with R&D, Clinical, Regulatory, and IT stakeholders, you will translate scientific and operational needs into scalable solution architectures spanning non clinical research, clinical development, regulatory submission support, and R&D platforms (e.g. Veeva Vault, LIMS).

Job Summary

The Domain Solution Architect – Drug Development designs and supports technology solutions across the pharmaceutical R&D lifecycle. This role ensures that digital solutions align with business needs, architectural standards, and regulatory requirements to enable efficient, compliant, and data‑driven drug development.

Working closely with R&D, Clinical, Regulatory, and IT stakeholders, you will translate scientific and operational needs into scalable solution architectures spanning non‑clinical research, clinical development, regulatory submission support, and R&D platforms (e.g. Veeva Vault, LIMS).

Key Responsibilities

• Define and document solution architectures supporting drug development and regulatory domains
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards (e.g. GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, data integrity)
• Apply architecture patterns and integration principles to enable interoperable, reusable solutions
• Contribute to domain architecture roadmaps and architectural standards
• Support adoption of digital and data‑driven capabilities, including analytics and automation
• Collaborate across global, cross‑functional teams and vendors

Required Experience & Skills

• Experience in solution or domain architecture within pharma or life sciences R&D
• Strong understanding of drug development processes and supporting systems
• Proven delivery experience in regulated environments
• Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF)
• Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing, and consulting skills
• Comfortable working in complex, evolving, and highly regulated contexts
