Job Description - Drone Type Certification Engineer

We are looking for a Drone Type Certification Engineer who will lead and support DGCA Type Certification processes for our UAV platforms and ensure full regulatory compliance.

This role will be responsible for managing and executing the DGCA Type Certification process for VECROS drone platforms. The candidate will coordinate with internal engineering teams and regulatory authorities to ensure smooth certification approvals and compliance adherence.

Key Responsibilities

Manage end -to -end DGCA Type Certification process for UAV platforms.
Prepare and compile required technical documentation for certification submissions.
Coordinate with authorized testing bodies (QCI / DGCA -approved labs).
Work closely with hardware, embedded, and flight test teams to ensure compliance readiness.
Ensure NPNT, Remote ID, and applicable drone rule compliance.
Track certification timelines and resolve audit observations.
Maintain regulatory documentation and version control records.
Support future compliance needs including updates, renewals, and new model approvals.

Requirements

1–2 years of experience in drone/UAV certification or regulatory compliance.
Hands -on exposure to DGCA Type Certification process (preferred).
Background in Electronics / Aerospace / Robotics / Embedded Systems.
Strong documentation and coordination skills.
Understanding of drone systems (flight controller, RF, firmware, battery safety, fail -safe mechanisms).
Ability to work in a fast -paced startup environment.
