We are seeking a dedicated Quality Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, training, and reviewing the Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA). This role will support the Daimler Truck Technical Risk Analysis Center of Competence (CoC) with safety analysis processes.

1. Develop and Sustain Processes: Support CoC for Continuous Improvement on DFMEA process to identify potential design failure modes, assess their impact on product performance, and prioritize areas for improvement.
2. Train Team Members: Support CoC lead to conduct training sessions and develop training materials to educate team members on these processes, ensuring a thorough understanding and its effective application in product development.
3. Review Work Products for conformance: Regularly review work products to ensure its effectiveness and compliance with the latest industry standards and internal best practices.
4. Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement efforts in the process to improve product quality, reliability, and safety along with other stakeholders.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Quality Engineer or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of DFMEA / MSR methodologies.
• Familiarity with ISO 26262 Functional Safety standards.
• Excellent training and communication skills.
• Self-starter, Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• 2+ years of experience in Safety Analysis Methods.

Exceptional Candidates Might Have

• 2+ years of automotive or Truck product development experience
• Hands-on DFMEA / MSR experience  
• Automotive E/E system knowledge
• Prior experience in applying ISO 26262 Functional Safety 
• Familiarity with DFMEA software tools like IQ-FMEA, Isograph, Datalyzer or similar.
• Project Management and technical paper writing skills
