Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture

• Define end-to-end SAP S/4HANA solution architecture for Supply Chain, Logistics, and Compliance processes. 

• Design scalable and integrated solutions across MM, EWM, TM, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Sales. 

• Ensure adherence to SAP best practices, Clean Core principles, and SAP Activate methodology. 

• Lead architecture reviews, solution governance, and design approvals. 

SAP Material Management

• Configure and support Purchase Order (PO) processing in SAP S/4HANA.

• Manage Supplier Master processes, including supplier creation, maintenance, and suppression/blocking activities.

• Support Goods Movement processes, including Goods Receipt (GR), Goods Issue (GI), stock transfers, and transfer postings.

• Configure and support Inventory Management, including stock monitoring, inventory adjustments, physical inventory, and stock reconciliation.

• Manage Purchase Pricing, including pricing procedures, condition records, contracts, scheduling agreements, and source determination.

• Support ARM (Advanced Returns Management) supplier return processes, including return orders, return deliveries, inspection, and supplier credit handling.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and implement SAP MM solutions.

• Analyze and resolve production support issues while ensuring system stability.

• Work with cross-functional teams, including SAP SD, EWM, FI, and TM, for end-to-end process integration.

SAP EWM / Decentralized EWM (dEWM)

• Configure and support Inbound Warehouse Processes, including: 

  • Deconsolidation

  • Putaway

  • Exception handling during inbound processing 

  • Cross Docking (IL03) 

• Configure and support Outbound Warehouse Processes, including: 

  • Picking

  • Packing

  • Pick Denial and exception handling 

  • Goods Issue processing 

• Support Physical Inventory processes, including cycle counting, annual inventory, recounts, and inventory adjustments. 

• Analyze warehouse process issues and provide functional solutions. 

• Work closely with business users to gather requirements and improve warehouse operations. 

• Perform system configuration, testing, defect resolution, and production support. 

• Collaborate with SAP MM, SD, TM, and other integrated modules to ensure seamless end-to-end warehouse processes.

• Architect warehouse management solutions covering: 

  • Warehouse storage 

  • Inventory management 

  • Internal warehouse movements 

  • Physical inventory 

  • Customs and bonded warehouse processes 

• Design RF, barcode scanning, automation, and warehouse integration scenarios. 

• Define warehouse structure, storage types, process-oriented storage control, and labor management where applicable. 

SAP Transportation Management (TM)

• Lead architecture for transportation planning and logistics execution. 

• Configure and support Advanced Shipping and Receiving (ASR) processes integrated with SAP TM and EWM.

• Configure and support Transport Execution (Outbound) processes from shipment planning through delivery execution.

• Support Transportation Planning, including freight unit building, carrier selection, load planning, route planning, and transportation scheduling.

• Manage Transportation Execution, including freight order management, shipment tracking, status updates, and proof of delivery.

• Configure and support Freight Management, including freight agreements, charge calculation, freight settlement, and carrier invoicing.

• Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and optimize transportation processes.

• Perform system configuration, testing, defect resolution, and production support.

• Work with SAP EWM, MM, SD, and other integrated modules to ensure seamless end-to-end logistics processes.

• Ensure direct engagement with project teams for issue resolution (not tool-driven escalation).

SAP Product Compliance

• Design and implement Product Compliance processes within SAP S/4HANA. 

• Lead solution design for: 

  • Quality inspection processes 

  • PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) sampling 

  • Dangerous goods management 

  • Hazardous substance compliance 

  • Product safety and regulatory compliance 

• Integrate Product Compliance with Quality Management (QM), Materials Management (MM), Production Planning (PP), and EWM. 

• Ensure compliance with regional and global regulatory requirements. 

Integration & Technical Leadership

• Define integration architecture across SAP modules and non-SAP systems. 

• Collaborate with Integration, BTP, API, and middleware teams. 

• Lead Fit-to-Standard workshops and solution blueprint sessions. 

• Provide technical guidance during development, testing, cutover, and hypercare. 

• Review functional specifications, technical designs, and custom developments. 

Stakeholder Management

• Partner with business process owners and global stakeholders. 

• Translate business requirements into scalable SAP solutions. 

• Present architecture recommendations to leadership and governance boards. 

• Mentor functional consultants and solution designers. 

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 

• 12–14+ years of SAP experience. 

• 8+ years of SAP Solution Architecture experience. 

• Multiple full lifecycle SAP S/4HANA implementations. 

• Strong knowledge of SAP Activate methodology. 

• Experience leading global SAP transformation programs.

• Experience in Automotive, Manufacturing, or Heavy Equipment industries. 

• Knowledge of global logistics and international trade processes. 

• Experience integrating with SAP GTS, MES, WMS automation systems, and third-party logistics providers. 

• Exposure to warehouse automation technologies such as ASRS, conveyors, and AGVs. 

• Familiarity with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and embedded analytics.
