ECAD E3S Functional Testing

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Functional Test Engineer with hands-on experience in ECAD systems and E3S platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating software and hardware integration, ensuring system reliability, and supporting product development cycles through rigorous functional testing.

ECAD Functional Testing:

• Validate ECAD tool functionalities (e.g., schematic capture, PCB layout, library management).
• Perform regression and sanity testing on ECAD modules.
• Collaborate with design engineers to verify electrical rule checks (ERC) and design rule checks (DRC).
• Analyze tool logs and debug issues related to ECAD workflows.
• Ensure compliance with design standards and tool interoperability.

E3S Functional Testing:

• Execute functional test cases for E3S (Engineering Software Suite) modules.
• Validate integration of E3S with PLM, ERP, and ECAD systems.
• Perform end-to-end testing of workflows including BOM management, change control, and release processes.
• Identify and document defects, and work with development teams for resolution.
• Support UAT and production rollout testing.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 4–5 years of experience in functional testing within ECAD/E3S environments.

• Strong understanding of ECAD tools (e.g., Mentor Graphics, Cadence, Zuken E3).
• Experience with E3S or similar engineering data management platforms.
• Familiarity with PLM systems (e.g., Teamcenter, Windchill).
• Proficiency in test management tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM).
• Knowledge of scripting (Python, VBScript) for test automation is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
