Title: Economic Inclusion Program Quality and Technical Partnerships (PQTP) Specialist - India 

Location: Kolkata or Delhi, India (open to other India-based locations; must have work authorization)

Duration: Initial contract will be for a period of 12 months, with possibility of extension.

Salary and benefits: The salary for this position, inclusive of benefits, is approximately US$25,000 per year, depending upon qualification and experience.
Travel: Up to 40–50% (domestic and international). Travel expenses are covered, as per Trickle Up's travel policies.

Overview

The PQTP Specialist strengthens economic inclusion quality, innovation, learning, knowledge management (KM), and technical excellence across Trickle Up, with a focus on the India and the Asia region. The role is embedded within regional and global teams, and contributes practical tools, methodologies, learning products, technical leadership, and program quality systems, to ensure that programs are aligned with global standards, while being responsive to local contexts.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and adapt economic inclusion tools, frameworks, methodologies, technical guidance, knowledge products, and training materials for India and Asia.


• Systematize Trickle Up’s economic inclusion efforts and quality standards at the regional level, including leading the regional project quality review mechanism (PQRM) and learning process.


• Contextualize global resources and translate learning into regionally relevant approaches.


• Design and facilitate capacity strengthening and peer-learning processes.


• Pilot, refine, and document innovative approaches that strengthen program quality.


• Serve as Technical Lead or Subject Matter Expert (SME) for proposal and program design efforts.


• Contribute technical expertise to theories of change (ToC), learning agendas, and measurement frameworks in collaboration with Business Development (BD) and Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, and Learning (MERL) staff.


• Manage or contribute to a limited number of HQ-led or globally funded technical partnerships initiatives.


• Participate in EI Working Groups and cross-regional collaboration, driving alignment and two-way knowledge flow.


• Document, curate, and disseminate regional and global knowledge assets.

Key Deliverables

• Contributions to regional and global KM activities – Monthly.


• Capacity-building exchanges with regional staff – Quarterly.


• Facilitation of PQRM processes – Quarterly.


• Technical Lead for at least four proposals – by August 2027.


• Co-design ToCs and MERL frameworks for all new projects - by August 2027.


• Provide ongoing technical support to EI projects, such as BRAC‑CGSRLM (Chhattisgarh), BRAC ILE (Maharashtra/Tamil Nadu/Telangana), PVTG (Jharkhand), MPOWERED Scale-Up Plus (Jharkhand/Odisha), and others as they come up – through August 2027.


• Support rollout of global program quality and technical partnership strategies across all regional projects – through August 2027.


• Technical tools, frameworks guidance notes, curricula, and standard operating procedures developed or adapted for regional use – by August 2027.

Qualifications

Minimum 8 years of experience in technical assistance, capacity building, or strategic consulting, with technical expertise in economic inclusion, livelihoods, or graduation programming, and experience in program design and management in international development settings. Experience working with governments, donors, implementing organizations, training and facilitation, and proposal development required. Preference for expertise in one or more cross-cutting area: gender transformative programming, climate resilience, local systems strengthening, and/or digital agency.

Fluency in English and Hindi (written and verbal), required, and a willingness to travel up to 40–50%. Position priorities excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments, analytical and solution-oriented problem-solving, and excellence engaging in cross-cultural environments.

Reporting & Coordination

• Reports to the Senior Advisor, Program Quality & Technical Partnerships (global EI team), with a dotted-line to the Chief Executive Officer, Trickle Up India Foundation and Regional Director, Trickle Up Program.


• Works in close collaboration with regional teams, MERL, business development, and implementing partners.


• Participates in EI Team and Working Group coordination and knowledge-sharing processes.
