Job title:  Editorial Vendor Management Specialist/ Coordinator

Location:  Noida, Bangalore and Chennai

Position Summary:

The Editorial Vendor Management Specialist monitors outsourced editorial services, focusing on managing vendor feedback, tracking reports, and coordinating communications to ensure high-quality services for journals. The role involves managing vendor activities, supporting process changes, and developing documentation to maintain service standards. Collaboration with the manager and specialists is essential to ensure vendors meet performance requirements and deliver top-notch editorial services.

How you will make an impact:

Performance Management Coordination

  • Review and summarize vendor reports weekly and monthly.
  • Ensure documentation is current and collaborate with vendors on improvements.
  • Maintain internal lists of journal assignments and contacts.
  • Coordinate training updates and manage vendor feedback.
  • Communications

  • Manage communications with vendors and colleagues about actions, expectations, and changes.
  • Update the Vendor Management channel in Microsoft Teams and respond to queries.
  • Notify teams of workflow and process changes.
  • General Needs

  • Track vendor management activities and support projects.
  • Manage Purchase Orders and Invoices.
  • Oversee vendor email account creation and be a backup for key tasks.
  • Attend meetings and audits to ensure standards and compliance.
  • Support process improvement and development.
  • We are looking for people who:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required
  • Experience working with vendor partners
  • Experience working internationally with colleagues in other countries/cultures and time zones
  • Proficient with MS Office, specifically Excel
  • Ability to learn other Microsoft tools such as MS Lists and other internal performance and monitoring systems/tools
  • Comfortable working with data as part of project and process work
  • Able to dissent and commit
  • Willing and able to ask questions to get the clarity needed to understand processes, situations, or projects
  • Inclination to always be learning and curious
  • Courageous and willing to take on tasks or projects even if uncertain
