Electrical CAD Technician - Infrastructure

Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical CAD Technician to join our growing infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have over five years of experience preparing electrical design drawings across a wide range of systems including power distribution, street lighting, telecommunications, traffic signals, ICT, security, and ELV systems. Proficiency in AutoCAD with Civil 3D or MicroStation is essential. Experience working on infrastructure projects in the Middle East is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed CAD drawings for electrical infrastructure systems, including:

• Power distribution networks
• Street lighting layouts
• Telecommunications and ICT networks
• Traffic signal systems
• ELV and security systems

• Collaborate closely with electrical engineers and multidisciplinary design teams to produce construction-ready documentation.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, project specifications, and client standards.
• Maintain accurate drawing documentation, version control, and updates throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assist in preparing as-built drawings and documentation for final project handover.
• Participate in coordination meetings and resolve technical drawing-related issues.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on CAD drafting experience in electrical infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD with Civil 3D or MicroStation is mandatory.
• Strong working knowledge of:

• Power distribution systems
• Street lighting
• Telecom and ICT infrastructure
• Traffic signals
• ELV and security systems

• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organization and communication skills.
• Experience on Middle East infrastructure projects is preferred.
• Must be ready to re-locate to Pune, Maharashtra.
   

Preferred Qualification:

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Drafting, or a related discipline.
• Familiarity with regional electrical standards (e.g., DEWA, ADDC, SEC) is an advantage.
• Knowledge of BIM tools or workflows is a plus.
