We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Design Engineer with strong experience in designing electrical systems for manufacturing machines and industrial equipment. The ideal candidate should be proficient in AutoCAD Electrical (preferably E_CAD 2024) and EPLAN, have solid knowledge of electrical components, servo systems, drives, PLC I/O modules, sensors, and motion devices, and be capable of preparing accurate design documentation including BOMs and SLDs.
Key Responsibilities
Develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts using AutoCAD Electrical (E_CAD 2024) and EPLAN.
Create detailed Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), cable schedules, and control wiring diagrams.
Select suitable electrical components such as relays, circuit breakers, sensors, actuators, drives, and servo motors based on functional requirements.
Design and document PLC I/O wiring for machine control systems.
Generate complete Bills of Materials (BOMs) for procurement and manufacturing processes.
Ensure all electrical designs meet applicable standards and regulations (IEC, NEC, UL, CE).
Collaborate with mechanical, controls, and manufacturing teams to deliver integrated and high-quality system designs.
Support prototype build activities and assist in troubleshooting during assembly and commissioning.
Evaluate and improve electrical designs for enhanced performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of designs, revisions, and change management.
Participate in design reviews and contribute technical insights to project planning and execution.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related fields.
4–8 years of hands-on experience in electrical design for industrial machinery, SPMs, or manufacturing equipment.
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical (preferably E_CAD 2024) and EPLAN.
In-depth knowledge of electrical components including sensors, drives, servo motors, contactors, and motion devices.
Experience preparing BOMs, SLDs, control panel layouts, wiring schematics, and machine cabling.
Familiarity with IEC, NEC, UL, and other electrical safety and compliance standards.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a structured and detail-oriented approach.
Ability to work independently as well as in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Preferred Skills
Exposure to PLC/Automation systems including I/O configuration, wiring, and basic troubleshooting.
Experience with machine safety systems (E-stops, safety relays, light curtains, etc.).
Knowledge of 3D electrical design tools such as SolidWorks Electrical.
Understanding of mechanical design concepts and drawings.
Basic project management awareness and experience working in structured project environments.
