We are seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to lead the design and development of electrical panel systems, with a strong focus on AutoCAD-based engineering. This role is responsible for delivering accurate, high-quality designs for LT/HT panels, ensuring technical compliance, and supporting seamless project execution.
You will take ownership of complex electrical designs, including preparation and review of single-line diagrams (SLD), general arrangement (GA) drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams. The role also involves mentoring junior engineers, driving standardization, and collaborating closely with production, procurement, and project teams to ensure efficient and error-free delivery.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and execution of electrical panel drawings using AutoCAD (2D)
Prepare and review SLDs, GA drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams
Design HT/LT panels including PCC, MCC, APFC, VFD, and control panels
Develop and validate control circuits, interlocking logic, and system configurations
Ensure accuracy, quality, and timely completion of all design deliverables
Prepare and review Bill of Materials (BOM) with a focus on cost optimization
Conduct design reviews and approve final drawings before production release
Coordinate with production, procurement, QA, and project teams for smooth execution
Resolve technical queries during manufacturing, testing, and commissioning stages
Maintain compliance with IEC/IS standards and internal quality benchmarks
Drive documentation, revision control, and continuous improvement in design processes
Mentor junior engineers and enhance team productivity and technical capability
What Makes You a Great Fit
5–10 years of experience in electrical panel design, specifically HT/LT systems
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (2D) for electrical drawings
Deep understanding of panel design including PCC, MCC, APFC, VFD, and control panels
Expertise in SLDs, control circuits, wiring diagrams, and protection schemes
Solid knowledge of electrical standards such as IEC and IS
Experience in BOM preparation, component selection, and cost optimization
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Proven ability to lead projects and mentor engineering teams
Effective communication and cross-functional coordination skills
Qualification in Electrical Engineering (B.Tech/Diploma mandatory)
