Electrical Draughting Engineer

• Prepare detailed electrical drawings, schematics, single-line diagrams (SLDs), panel layouts, and cable schedules using AutoCAD or other CAD software.
  

• Interpret engineering sketches, design inputs, and specifications to develop accurate electrical drafts for projects.
  

• Collaborate with electrical engineers and other team members to ensure drawing accuracy and resolve design-related queries.
  

• Maintain drawing standards and ensure compliance with industry codes such as IEC, NEC, or IS standards.
  

• Update drawings based on mark-ups and engineering revisions during the project lifecycle.
  

• Manage drawing records, ensure version control, and maintain document archives in coordination with the document control team.
  

• Assist in creating as-built drawings post-installation and commissioning.
  

• Coordinate with other disciplines (civil, mechanical, instrumentation) to ensure proper integration of drawings.
  

• Support tender documentation by providing required drafts and drawings.
  

• Ensure timely delivery of all draughting-related outputs as per project schedules.
  

Essential Qualifications:

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  

• Certification in AutoCAD or equivalent CAD software is preferred.
  

Skills Required:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D) and familiarity with 3D electrical modelling tools is a plus.
  

• Solid understanding of electrical design principles and drafting standards.
  

• Knowledge of electrical components, wiring methods, and system layouts.
  

• Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work under tight deadlines.
  

• Good communication and coordination skills.
  

• Familiarity with MS Office and documentation practices.
  

• Experience in industrial, commercial, or infrastructure projects is desirable.
