Electrical Engineer - Delivery

Job Title:\n\nElectrical Engineer\n\nJob Description Summary:\n\nUnder general direction, provide engineering skills to assist in providing innovative and cost-effective solutions required in the design, development, sustaining and deployment of automated test systems for printed circuit board assemblies (PCBA) and high-density high-packaging integrated multi-chip modules (MCM) in Schlumberger.\n\nKey skills: \n\nElectronic Circuit Design \u0026 Test Analysis, Testing and troubleshooting / debugging of printed circuit board assemblies (PCBA), Mixed-signal (Analog \u0026 Digital) Electronics, Test Engineering, Quality Control and eDFT (Design for Testability in electronics).\n\nMain Functions/Responsibilities: \n\n 1. Study design document, electrical schematics and manual test instruction procedure and understand PCBA key functionalities.\n\n\n\n\n 2. Assess overall testability coverage of the PCBA.\n\n\n\n\n 3. Perform bench-testing of the PCBA to validate the test specifications and provide feedback to Design Engineers.\n\n\n\n\n 4. Develop the hardware design for test hardware including fixture, harness and any other peripheral circuit as required.\n\n\n\n\n 5. Develop test software for performing automated test on the PCBA using the test hardware.\n\n\n\n\n 6. Specify inputs to eCAD for creating the design files for the test hardware.\n\n\n\n\n 7. Procure components, assemble prototype hardware and validate test software on the PCBA.\n\n\n\n\n 8. Coordinate with supplier to manufacture the test hardware. Perform receiving \u0026 inspection and review quality of the product and files delivered by the supplier.\n\n\n\n\n 9. Perform complete validation of the received test hardware along with the developed test software by performing incremental tests on the PCBA.\n\n\n\n\n 10. Deliver and support the deployment of the PCBA automated test system at Schlumberger Manufacturing \u0026 Product Centers and/or at Contract Manufacturers.\n\n\n\n\n 11. Write and archive in Schlumberger product file database the PCBA testability review report, automated test system hardware specification, software codes, its user guide and functional description and functional validation results.\n\n\n\n\n 12. Effectively coordinate with Electrical Design Engineers, Design Test Engineers and Manufacturing Engineers among other personnel in Schlumberger. \n\n\n\n\n 13. Prepare and continuously share updates of the detailed project plan and progress of the PCBA test development with other Schlumberger Production Centers.\n\n\n\n\n 14. Perform statistical analysis of manufacturing test results and identify and implement measures for improving yield\n\n\n\n\nEducation\n\nBachelor of Engineering in Electrical or Electronics Engineering from a premier Tier-2 college ( Preferably NITs or Deemed University) in India.\n\nSkills Required: \n\n * Strong technical knowledge and \n\n\n\n\n * Designing and functional testing of mixed-signal (Analog \u0026 Digital) electronics. \n\n\n\n\n * Knowledge and understanding of concepts of digital serial and parallel communication protocols such as RS232, RS485, SPI, I2C. \n\n\n\n\n * Good technical knowledge of electrical/electronic circuit test analysis concepts, such as eDFT, eDFM, failure investigation and analysis of electronic components and printed circuit assembly boards. \n\n\n\n\n * Knowledge on printed circuit assembly boards testing and debugging using standard off-the-shelf electrical equipment (such as digital multi-meter, power supply, digital oscilloscope, function generator, logic analyzer). \n\n\n\n\n * Good programming skills in C/C++ and/or script programming.\n\n\n\n\n * Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. \n\n\n\n\nDesired: \n\n * Knowledge and experience in National Instruments automation test software products \u2013 LabVIEW, LabWindows and TestStand.\n\n\n\n\n * Knowledge and experience in electrical circuit simulation using Spice (PSpice, LTSpice)\n\n\n\n\n * Knowledge / understand concept of grounding and shielding techniques and standards (EMI/EMC) for keeping signal integrity in mixed signal boards.\n\n\n\n\n5.5 yrs\n
