Development & Product Development – Electrical Heater & Process SKID Systems

Position Summary
Responsible for
leading the Business Development, Product Development, and overall business
operations of the Electrical Heater & Process Skid Systems for Oil &
Gas, Petrochemical, LNG, Hydrogen, Power, Water Treatment, and Industrial
Process applications. The role carries complete Profit & Loss (P&L)
responsibility for the SBU, including business growth, order booking, revenue,
profitability, product strategy, customer satisfaction, and successful
execution of projects from inquiry through commissioning. The incumbent will be
responsible for developing the SBU into a profitable and sustainable business
through strategic planning, market expansion, operational excellence, and
leadership.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop
and execute the business strategy for the Electrical Heater & Process Skid
SBU to achieve sustainable revenue growth, profitability, and market
leadership.
· Own
the complete Profit & Loss (P&L) of the SBU, including order intake,
revenue, gross margin, operating profitability, budgeting, forecasting, cost
control, pricing strategy, and overall financial performance.
· Define
annual business plans, sales targets, product roadmap, and growth strategies
aligned with the organization's objectives.
· Identify
new business opportunities, develop key customer relationships, and manage
interactions with EPC contractors, consultants, OEMs, end users, and channel
partners.
· Lead
product development initiatives for Electrical Heater Packages and Process Skid
Systems based on customer requirements, market trends, competitive
benchmarking, and emerging technologies.
· Understand
the basics of electric process heaters, circulation heaters, immersion heaters,
gas heaters, hydrogen heaters, nitrogen heaters, and hazardous-area heater
packages to support product positioning and customer solutions.
· Review
customer specifications, RFQs, and technical requirements and coordinate with
engineering teams to develop technically compliant and commercially competitive
solutions.
· Lead
proposal preparation, techno-commercial discussions, pricing strategy, contract
negotiations, risk assessment, and order finalization while ensuring targeted
profitability.
· Coordinate
mechanical, piping, structural, electrical, and instrumentation engineering
activities to ensure successful product development and project execution.
· Support
preparation and review of PFDs, P&IDs, equipment datasheets, GA drawings,
skid layouts, technical specifications, and engineering deliverables in
coordination with the design team.
· Drive
value engineering, cost optimization, standardization, and continuous product
improvement to enhance competitiveness and margins.
· Prepare
material requisitions, technical bid evaluations, vendor document reviews,
vendor development, and strategic sourcing initiatives to improve cost
efficiency and delivery performance.
· Monitor
project execution to ensure delivery schedules, quality, budget, and
profitability objectives are achieved.
· Support
fabrication, assembly, FAT, SAT, commissioning, troubleshooting, and customer
acceptance activities whenever required.
· Ensure
compliance with applicable IEC, ASME, API, ATEX, IECEx, PED, and client
specifications.
· Interface
directly with clients, EPC contractors, inspection agencies, consultants,
suppliers, and strategic partners to build long-term business relationships and
expand the company's market presence.
· Recruit,
mentor, and lead cross-functional Business Development, Product Development,
Engineering, and Project teams, fostering a high-performance and
customer-focused culture.
· Develop
and monitor key business metrics, including order pipeline, conversion ratio,
project profitability, working capital, customer satisfaction, and overall SBU
performance.
· Provide
periodic business reviews, financial reports, market intelligence, and
strategic recommendations to senior management.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's Degree
in Mechanical and/or Chemical Engineering.
Minimum 10–15
years of experience in Electrical Heater Packages, Process Skids, Oil &
Gas, LNG, Petrochemical, Hydrogen, Power, or related process industries, with
proven experience in Business Development, Product Development,
techno-commercial management, and team leadership.
Demonstrated
experience in managing a business unit, product line, or profit center with
direct responsibility for revenue growth, profitability, budgeting, commercial
decision-making, and customer relationship management will be highly preferred.
Software Skills
AutoCAD,
SolidWorks/Solid Edge, MS Office (mandatory). Preferred: Aspen HYSYS, HTRI, PV
Elite, Caesar II, STAAD Pro, Plant 3D, E3D, Navisworks.
