End User Computing Operations Engineer

• End user computing engineering operations, 3rd level incident escalations, desktop platform engineering, tools and services.
• Comfortable working in a very large global environment
• Leads by example and demonstrates leadership in an enterprise end user computing engineering and support organization. Able to work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent client focus and understanding of client needs
• Excellent communicator with the ability to translate technical terms into layman’s terms. 
• Responds to requests for technical assistance using the ticket system, in person and remote
• Senior level Windows 11 Enterprise/ M365/ application desktop engineering, maintenance, troubleshooting and problem resolution
• Senior level Apple Mac OS desktop / application engineering, maintenance, troubleshooting and problem resolution
• Senior level Jamf enterprise Apple device management and security
• Working knowledge of LAN, WAN, VPN
• Working knowledge of end endpoint security & privilege management
• Working knowledge of ITSM processes and service excellence
• Working knowledge of SCCM, Azure, Intune
• Working knowledge of Active Directory support and administration

• Working knowledge of PowerShell to implement desktop management automation through scripting to provide consistent and predictable services.

• Engineer solutions to common desktop problems, and not so common.
• Install, customize, maintain, test, and troubleshoot operating systems and other systems software.
• Provides technical assistance based on the research of current software and operating system, service packs, patches, updates and fixes for desktops. Make recommendations based upon the severity, critical need and implications to environment and supported applications.
• Performs root cause analysis to quickly recover from service interruptions, and to prevent recurring problems.
• Works well with other IT teams to identify and remediate systemic problems
• Provide technical assistance in the construction and maintenance of a corporate standard desktop image
• Oversees the maintenance of the corporate image as hardware changes occur ensuring no incompatibilities.
• Ensures all new and proposed desktop software is tested according to company policy
• Mobile device administration and support using MDM

• Works with project managers on global projects with a focus on technical design, risk assessment, costs, timing and benefits.
• Provides timely reports and metrics for end user requests and incidents
• Executes queries against Active Directory, PowerBI and other dtabases searching for specific criteria
• Build Server administration and Image Management
• MBAM/ Bitlocker administration and problem resolution
• Creates and manages controlled documentation, SOP, WI and engineering notes
• Works with business subject matter experts and key stakeholders to successfully integrate their solutions and objectives.

• Is willing to work outside of the standard business hours as necessary

Minimum Education and Experience Required:

• Technology BA preferred, but not essential

Preferred Qualifications:

• Industry Certifications – Microsoft, ITIL, Cisco, Apple, Jamf
