Engineer - Assembly & Testing

Principal Activities:

 1) Safety:

• Always ensure zero accident and zero incident.


• Training to operators on Safety and uses of PPE’s, JDI’s, Proactive observation.


• Submit Safety Proactive observations as per task

2)Quality:

• After Testing, Check pump performance with respect to pump model and check pump performance with respect to Customer requirement.


• Ensure pump performance is as per customer requirement to clear the pump for painting and final Q.C


• Check the approved document and ensure approved documents are ok before inspection.


• Ensure no hold points in inspection.


• Submit pump performance documents as per customer requirement.


• Ensure correctness of pump assembly with correct BOM and as per Customer requirement.

3)Delivery:

• Execute daily Assembly plan with ref to plan given by Planning Dept.


• Execute daily Testing Plan with ref to Plan given by Planning Dept.


• Execute daily Painting plan with ref to Plan given by Planning Dept.


• Daily distribute workload to workers.


• Material process time is done as per the lead time defined in the Routings OTD.

4)Cost:

• Submit JDI as per task for improvement.


• Reduce ideal time, reduce change over time, Reduce setup time

5)People:

• Team Building and culture of Accountability


• Multiskilling- Lean, machine tool and fixturing for the employees


• Daily distribute workload to Manpower.

Functional Skills & Knowledge:

Education & Experience

• Education: BE /Diploma in Mechanical Engineer.


• Experience: 3-5 Years in pumps manufacturing industry/Engineering Industry.
