## \nCompany:\n\nQualcomm India Private Limited\n\n## Job Area:\n\nEngineering Group, Engineering Group \u003e Software Engineering\n\nGeneral Summary:\n\nRole : Project Engineer for Linux IOT Projects\n\n### \n\n### Key responsibilities:\n\n * ### Lead and deliver driving large IOT projects based on Linux\n\n * ### Past experience in Linux Distros (Yocto, Ubuntu, Debian) for embedded products\n\n * ### Experience in driving multiple life cycles of the project end-to-end right from Software conceptualization for new chipsets to product commercialization with customers\n\n * ### Hands-on tech experience in Embedded Systems. Proficiency in coding, design and implementation. Coding experience in C/C+, Android/Linux, Drivers/Frameworks, end-to-end software stack\n\n * ### Work with large diversified engineering teams, product marketing and business teams\n\n * ### Strong understanding of system architecture, kernel development, and device drivers.\n\n * ### Strong exposure to chipset architecture and end-to-end system aspects from software perspective\n\n * ### Past working experience in one or more of the areas \u2013 Multimedia, Linux, Core Platform, Ethernet Protocols, Power/Performance\n\n * ### Hands on approach to understand intricate issues, debug and drive to closure\n\n * ### Strong product view in terms of end-to-end life cycle from conceptualization to commercialization\n\n\n\n\n### \n\n### Requirements: \nBachelors/Masters degree in Electronics Engineering, , Computer Science, or related field. \nStrong development experience with C/C++ and good programming skills. \nStrong communication skills and analytics skills \nProven experience in Linux development, with a strong focus on Yocto, Ubuntu, and Debian distributions.\n\n### Strong hands-on experience on Ubuntu, RedHat like Linux Distros and understanding of Linux related concepts like systemd, SELinux, Snaps, Sandboxing, Container, Docker, etc. \nStrong understanding of Linux kernel and internals. \nStrong understanding of SOC systems and related concepts, including bring-up. \nGood know-how of Multimedia subsystems like Camera, Video, Audio, Display and Graphics.\n\n### Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. \nStrong hands-on experience with troubleshooting software and system issues. \nStrong hands-on experience with full software development life cycle including design, implementation, deployment and support. \nStrong aptitude, quick learner, self-motivated, willing to explore and work across breadth of various technology areas. \nDeductive problem solving, good verbal and written communication skills for collaboration across teams.\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\n\n\u2022 Bachelor\u0027s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 8+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. \nOR \nMaster\u0027s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 7+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. \nOR \nPhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. \n \n\u2022 4+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.\n\nApplicants: Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
