The candidate will develop and validate the software for Qualcomm\u0027s Modem-RF Wireless chipsets.\n\nThe Modem-RF Software Team at Qualcomm India:\n\n * Develops drivers for the leading Modem-RF Transceivers in close collaboration with RF Hardware, Modem/Baseband and RF ASIC teams. This is at the core of the Qualcomm\u2019s Communication System solution.\n\n * Creates, Develops and Optimizes Modem and RF Transceiver and Antenna / RF Front End algorithms and Software modules to improve System performance, Factory yields and RF Testability.\n\n * Provide Modem-RF Driver expertise to investigations of complex RF and Modem issues in a cross-functional Hardware / Software working environment.\n\n * Works closely with the physical layer teams in delivering new features to keep Qualcomm Modem performance competitive in the evolving marketplace.\n\n * Collaborates closely with RF \u0026 Modem Systems, Hardware and Test Engineering during the cycles of product development.\n\n\n\n\nEducation Requirements \n\nMasters or Bachelor\u0027s in Electronics and Communication Engineering or equivalent\n\nMinimum / Preferred Qualifications\n\n * The position requires strong C programming skills with an understanding of RF and/Or Communications systems. The candidate should have the knowledge of digital communications and RF theory. An understanding of embedded real time systems is desired. Experience in LTE or 5G wireless systems is a plus. Must have good communication skills and be a team player.\n\n * C and/Or C++ Software Programming and Debugging skills on Embedded real time operating systems/RTOS.\n\n * Should have a good understanding of the Software Engineering concepts.\n\n * Requires a good understanding of the Wireless communication system.\n\n * Knowledge of wireless communication in any of the radio access technologies (e.g. LTE, 5GNR, etc.) is a plus.\n\n * Wireless system knowledge and/or background, applicable to Modem-RF Software, Communication theory and Radio architecture.\n\n * Modem/Communications device driver development experience is an added advantage.\n\n * Demonstrated working knowledge with HW and RF Test equipment (Protocol Test Equipment, Spectrum Analyzer, Oscilloscope, etc.).\n\n * Fresh grads need to have a good understanding of C and/or C++, Software Engineering concepts with focus on embedded software, Digital/Wireless Communications, ECE fundamentals and RF Theory.\n\n\n\n\nApplicants: Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
