Engineer - Structural Engineering

Job Summary

The Junior Structural Engineer will support the structural design and analysis of building projects under the guidance of senior engineers. The role involves preparing structural drawings, performing basic calculations, assisting in modeling, coordinating with other disciplines, and providing technical support throughout the design and construction phases. This position is ideal for early-career engineers looking to build strong technical foundations in structural engineering.

Key Responsibilities (Financial)

  Assist in structural analysis and design of concrete, steel, and masonry building elements.

  Develop preliminary structural models using software such as ETABS, SAFE, STAAD.Pro, or similar tools.

  
  


• 
  

  Prepare design calculations, sketches, and technical documentation under supervision.

  
  


• 
  

  Support the creation of structural drawings in coordination with CAD/BIM teams.

  
  

• 
  

  Coordinate design information with architects, MEP engineers, and other project stakeholders.

  
  


• 
  

  Assist in reviewing drawings, specifications, and shop drawings for compliance with design requirements.

  
  


• 
  

  Participate in project meetings and provide follow-up on assigned tasks.

  
  

• 
  

  Conduct basic site inspections to understand construction practices and verify design implementation.

  
  


• 
  

  Assist in resolving technical queries (RFIs) from contractors and site teams.

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain project documentation, logs, and design records.

  
  

• 
  

  Ensure designs comply with relevant codes and standards (IS codes, ACI, AISC, Eurocodes, etc.).

  
  


• 
  

  Follow internal quality processes, checklists, and engineering workflows.

  
  


• 
  

  Support senior engineers in performing structural safety checks and validations.

  
  

Qualifications & Experience required

• 
  

  Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory).

  
  


• 
  

  Master’s degree in Structural Engineering

  
  

• 
  

  0–3 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably in building projects.

  
  


• 
  

  Internship or project experience in structural design is an added advantage.
