Engineer - Supplier Quality (SCM)

What you’ll do:

To identify the gaps in supplier Quality system- Quality, Delivery and operational alignment with Eaton manufacturing sites, communicate back to supplier & take follow up for improvement actions. Ensure supplier training and  actions implemented in respective process for defect free product supply, no defect reoccurrance with aiming overall supplier performance improvement by reducing the SDPPM.     
"1. Evaluate and timely closure of 8D on the defect from external and internal suppliers 
2. Identify, investigate, and Resolve Supplier Technical and/or System issues related to product or process realization to have effective closures.
3. Analyzes Supplier Issues, use of statistical and analytical tools for Supplier Improvement.
4. Implement measures to improve CAR/CAPA, Process efficiency and engage Team to achieve Goals for on time closures
5. Trouble shoot flawless closures in coordination with global stake holders.
6  Assist in data analysis and business growth for various supplier Quality process
7. Anticipate customer requirements and provide customer centric solutions.
8. Work as a co- coordinator  between suppliers and internal functions/plants (Engineering, Plants, Operations, etc.) to clarify requirements, eliminate confusion, and improve closure lead time and accuracy.
9.Understand customer requirement and quick turnaround time on adhoc requests.
10.Monitor and communicate supplier performance of all key suppliers.
11. Support and lead process transitions through on time and accurate documentation,
12. Lead projects in team and act as SPOC for multiple sites and customers.
13. Identify, investigate, and Resolve Supplier Technical and/or System issues related to product or process realization to have effective closures - Change managements and corelation issues
14. Ensure strong engagement with all affected site Quality,SQE, SDE, SCM,CM and Engineering team.
15. Encourage & implement Continuous Improvement culture within team & at supplier end."    

Qualifications:

BE in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering
"1.Minimum 6 ~10 years of experience in Supplier Quality & Development and Manufacturing / or Process Engineering.
2. Experience in working with global customers & suppliers."

Skills:

"1. Advanced knowledge of Eaton Elactrical Product and Manufacturing processes/systems and techniques
2. Working Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as Sheet Metal stamping,Molding,Casting,forging,welding,Machining,Electrical & Electronics is preferred as per sequence.
3. Working knowledge of statistical tools including SPC,Gauge R&R and capability analysis.
4. Competent in advance problem solving (8D),DOE, planning and decision making 
5.Working knowledge on CI (Continuous Improvement) tools & Six Sigma Certification is preferred"
