Engineering Manager - DevOps

Job Summary : We are seeking a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead our software development efforts, from ideation to delivery and support. You will be responsible for defining and implementing the technical roadmap, ensuring our software aligns with business goals, and building high-performing teams to deliver exceptional products.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product development. Ideal candidate should be hands-on in product architecture, design and development. Experience in building products in artificial intelligence, machine learning is a big plus. Key Responsibilities :- Architect and design: Lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions aligned with business needs and industry best practices.- Technology vision: Define and evangelize the long-term technology roadmap, identifying and evaluating new technologies and trends.- Team leadership: Build, mentor, and lead high-performing software development teams, fostering collaboration and innovation.- Hands-on coding: Maintain your coding skills and actively participate in critical development tasks. Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code, while also guiding and mentoring team members in coding practices.- Requirement analysis: Translate functional product requirements into well-defined software modules and technical specifications.- Delivery focus: Prioritize development tasks, manage deadlines, and deliver software on time and within budget.- Cloud expertise: Deep understanding and experience with cloud env, including cloud-native development and deployment.- Communication: Clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.- Problem-solving: Approach complex technical challenges with creative solutions and a results-oriented mindset.Qualifications :- At least 15+ years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years in engineering manager roles.- Proven track record of building and delivering successful software products from ideation to launch and beyond.- Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and DevOps.- Deep knowledge of modern software architecture principles and design patterns.- Hands-on experience with the following programming languages and frameworks.- AI /ML- LLM Applications, Chatbots, Vision Analytics- Programming - Python, Java, Nodejs, Angular/Reactjs or similar- SQL/NO SQL Databases- Cloud - GCP, AWS, Azure- API based architecture, Event Based Architecture, Messaging Tools (ref:hirist.tech)
