This role focuses on ensuring high availability, reliability, and compliance of data protection services across virtual and physical environments, with a strong emphasis on Veeam Backup \u0026 Replication. The individual will play a key role in maintaining resilient backup operations, supporting restore and disaster recovery activities, and resolving complex technical escalations.\n\n## What you will do\n\nInstall, configure, and administer Veeam Backup \u0026 Replication in large enterprise environments.Manage backup and replication jobs, retention policies, and validation activities.Execute full, incremental, and synthetic full backups, including VM-level and granular restores.Troubleshoot and resolve backup failures, performance issues, repository constraints, and proxy load challenges.Optimise backup repositories, proxies, and storage integrations to improve reliability and efficiency.Perform daily monitoring, log reviews, health checks, and incident resolution activities.Create and maintain standard operating procedures, architecture diagrams, and operational documentation.Provide L2/L3 support for backup and restore-related escalations.Support disaster recovery activities, replication failovers, and periodic DR testing.Provide basic monitoring and restore support for NetBackup environments.\n\n## Who you are\n\nAn experienced infrastructure professional with 8\u201310 years of overall experience and at least 5 years of hands-on expertise in Veeam Backup \u0026 Replication.\n\nStrongly skilled in VMware virtualisation environments and backup architecture design.\n\nConfident in troubleshooting complex backup and restore workflows in enterprise settings.\n\nExperienced in performance tuning across backup proxies, repositories, and storage platforms.\n\nKnowledgeable in retention strategies, data protection compliance, and disaster recovery readiness.\n\nComfortable working with networking fundamentals relevant to backup infrastructure.Familiar with NetBackup monitoring and restore activities, which is considered beneficial.\n\nExposure to PowerShell scripting is advantageous.\n\n## Not a perfect fit?\n\nConcerned you may not meet every requirement?
