ID:\n\nJR93906 Equipment Engineer - GEL\n\nOur vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all.\n\nMicron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.\n\nAs a Global Engineering Lab (GEL) Engineer you will be primarily responsible for setting up, upgrading, calibrating, buying-off, troubleshooting, and periodic maintenance of lab equipment. GEL Engineer also will be involved in implementing global GEL initiatives on site and lead some of the lab initiatives to global base that will involve equipment, engineering, and lab management support.\n\nResponsibilities and Tasks:\n\nLead a team of technicians to plan and implement preventive maintenance and calibration of GEL lab equipment.\n\nKnowledge about ISO/IEC 17025 std for calibration (Mechanical, Electrical, Thermal etc\u2026)\n\nInstall, maintain, and calibrate laboratory and manufacturing equipment\n\nExperience in tools which are getting used in semiconductor labs like Temperature chamber, Hast chamber, Soak chamber, Tester, Reflow oven, Temp cycle, THB, bend tester, CSAM, Shock tester, X-section, FTIR, SEM, 3D X-ray, FIB etc.. \n\nPerform equipment troubleshooting and work closely with equipment vendor to resolve equipment issues. Maintain and troubleshoot test equipment and systems to support production processes.\n\nIdentify and resolve recurring equipment downtime issues; implement corrective and preventive actions.\n\nInstall operating systems (Windows/Linux) for lab equipment, servers, and desktops\n\nMaintain accurate records of maintenance, calibration, and repairs. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.\n\nAssist lab and production staff with equipment setup and operational training. Support audits and inspections by providing equipment documentation\n\nCollaborate with vendor and Facilities/IE team on new equipment setup, modification, and upgrades etc.\n\nEnsure proper record keeping and documentation of equipment information in Equipment Tracking System.\n\nKnowledge about ESD \u0026 Clean room\n\nRequirements:\n\nMinimum 1-2 Years of experience with Bachelors, Masters in filed of Electronics, Electronics \u0026 communication, Electrical, Mechatronics, Computer science holders with Engineering studies.\n\nAt least one year or equivalent experience in engineering semiconductor Lab maintain\n\nMeticulous and attention to details, perseverance, and passion, strive to ensure maximum test cases coverage.\n\nClear headed, results oriented, systematic, and methodical approach in solving problems\n\nSelf-motivated, possess initiative and ability to work independently\n\nStandout colleague with good communication skills and fluent to communicate in English (written and verbal).\n\nKnowledge about the lean six sigma for laboratory, Kaizen, Lean etc\u2026\n\nFlexible in working time, shifts and travel 0-20%\n\nJob Profile(s):\n\nEquipment Engineer 1\n\nRelocation level: (TBD)\n\nBefore Getting Started \nPlease review Micron\u2019s Internal Job Application Policy on your regional PeopleNow Career Opportunities page before searching and applying for jobs.
