Job Description – ERP Implementation Lead
We are seeking an experienced ERP
Implementation Lead to support a large -scale enterprise transformation
initiative involving the migration of custom -built and legacy business
applications to a modern ERP platform such as SAP or Oracle.
The ideal candidate will have
hands -on experience participating in complex ERP transformation programs and a
strong understanding of how enterprise business processes, custom applications,
integrations, data, and reporting capabilities transition into an ERP
ecosystem. This individual will serve as a key subject matter expert and
trusted advisor, working closely with business process owners, internal
technology teams, ERP vendors, and System Integrators (SIs) to evaluate
requirements, validate solutions, identify gaps, and ensure the ERP
implementation aligns with business objectives.
Candidate will be expected to
leverage prior ERP transformation experience to challenge assumptions, validate
implementation approaches, assess the impact on existing applications and
processes, and help drive practical decisions throughout the implementation
lifecycle.
The
ideal candidate has successfully worked on one or more large -scale ERP
implementations where custom -developed business applications were consolidated,
modernized, or replaced by SAP or Oracle ERP solutions and understands the
complexities associated with process transformation, application
rationalization, integrations, data migration, testing, and business adoption.
Key Responsibilities
ERP Transformation &
Solution Leadership
- Act as a key transformation lead
throughout the ERP implementation lifecycle.
- Provide hands -on guidance and
expertise during the migration from custom -built applications to SAP or
Oracle ERP.
- Participate in ERP strategy,
solution discussions, design workshops, and implementation planning
activities.
- Help define the future -state
application landscape and identify opportunities to leverage standard ERP
functionality.
- Challenge existing customs processes and advocate for industry best practices where appropriate.
Business Process & Fit -Gap
Analysis
- Work closely with business process
owners to understand current -state processes and systems.
- Participate in process discovery,
requirements gathering, and fit -gap assessment activities.
- Evaluate how existing customs applications and functionality can be replaced, consolidated, or
integrated with ERP solutions.
- Assist in defining future -state
business processes aligned with ERP capabilities.
Collaboration with ERP Vendors
and System Integrators
- Serve as a primary point of
collaboration between internal teams and external implementation partners.
- Review and validate solution
recommendations provided by SAP, Oracle, and System Integrator teams.
- Ensure implementation decisions
align with business objectives and long -term architecture goals.
- Participate in solution reviews,
design discussions, and architecture governance activities.
Integration & Data Migration
Support
- Work with
integration teams to define ERP integration requirements and approaches.
- Review
integration designs and ensure business requirements are adequately
addressed.
- Support data
migration planning, data mapping, validation, and reconciliation
activities.
- Help identify
data quality issues and remediation strategies.
Legacy Application
Rationalization
- Analyze existing custom -built
applications and assess their business value and ERP replacement strategy.
- Identify business processes,
integrations, reports, and functionality impacted by the ERP
transformation.
- Support application retirement,
consolidation, and transition planning activities.
- Assist in defining coexistence
strategies during phased migration approaches.
Post -Go -Live Support &
Continuous Improvement
- Support business users during
stabilization and hyper care periods.
- Assist in issue resolution and
optimization initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for process
improvement and ERP adoption enhancement.
- Promote ERP best practices and
continuous improvement across business functions.
