Job Description - Estate Officer

Role Summary:
 The Estate Officer will be responsible for managing and expanding the company’s
landbank overseeing real estate
activities within the designated state. This role also includes coordinating with
property maintenance teams to ensure assets are well -maintained and compliant
with regulations. The ideal candidate will bring experience in land
acquisition, strategic planning, stakeholder management, and regulatory compliance,
with a strong knowledge of property law.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Landbank & Property Management
  •  Land Acquisition & Strategy: Lead land acquisition efforts, negotiations, and strategies within the state.
  • Land Utilization: Develop and implement policies for optimal land use to maximize
    value and growth.
  • Property Oversight: Coordinate with maintenance teams to oversee upkeep of land
    and any existing assets, ensuring alignment with the company's standards and objectives.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Ensure all land -related documentation is up -to -date
    and complies with state and local regulations, with a focus on legal accuracy and completeness.
2. Joint Venture & Partnership Management
  •  Stakeholder Relations: Act as point of contact for JV partners, managing
    communications and ensuring project alignment and smooth collaboration.
  •  Agreement Execution: Oversee the terms and conditions of joint venture agreements,
    ensuring legal compliance and mutual benefit.
3. Regulatory Compliance & Legal Oversight
  • Regulatory Adherence: Ensure land acquisitions and real estate projects meet all
    legal and regulatory requirements, including zoning, environmental regulations, and building codes.
  • Local Authority Engagement: Build relationships with local government bodies and regulatory agencies to ensure support for land and project initiatives.
5. Project Management & Reporting
  • Project Oversight: Monitor project progress, costs, and timelines for all real estate
    and landbank activities within the state.
  • Maintenance Coordination: Oversee property maintenance budgets and operations
    as needed, particularly for properties with existing infrastructure.
  • Regular Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on landbank status, JV performance, regulatory updates, and maintenance needs for senior management.
6. Market Analysis & Strategic Planning
  •  Market Insights: Conduct research to assess market trends, land values, and
    competitor activity, identifying opportunities for strategic growth.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks related to land acquisitions, partnerships, and maintenance, developing mitigation plans as needed.


Requirements

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in law. Preferable but not essential
  • 15 -20+ years of experience in real estate, land acquisition, joint ventures, and/or landbank management, with strong knowledge of property law and regulator compliance.
  • Proven expertise in managing large -scale land acquisitions, regulatory compliance and partnerships.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to travel within the state as required.
Skills & Competencies:
  • Strategic Planning & Market Analysis: Ability to assess land value and identify
    strategic growth opportunities.
  • Regulatory & Compliance Knowledge: Thorough understanding of real estate and zoning laws, with a preference for candidates knowledgeable in property law.
  • Project & Budget Management: Skilled in overseeing land projects, maintenance budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Interpersonal & Communication Skills: Proficiency in building relationships with stakeholders and the local community.
  • Maintenance Coordination: Familiarity with property maintenance oversight as it relates to preserving asset value.
