Role Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer (B.E./B.Tech.) with 4-10 years of expertise in cost estimation for heavy engineering fabrication projects. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to prepare competitive bids, analyse project specifications and ensure seamless project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle inquiries, conduct cost estimations, and determine pricing strategies
• Possess in-depth knowledge of steel, forging, casting market rates and processes such as fabrication, heat treatment, machining, and painting
• Utilize AutoCAD for project designs and maintain thorough inquiry records
• Coordinate with purchase, production and quality departments to gather accurate costing inputs for new products
• Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs), material requirements and cost breakdowns
• Develop final pricing and estimations for machined parts
• Create comprehensive technical and commercial proposals, while analysing project profitability

Requirements:

• B.E. or B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering, Fabrication Technology or a related field
• 4-10 years of proven experience in cost estimation for heavy engineering fabrication projects
• Proficiency in estimation software and tools
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
