Role Description

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Informatica Platform Administrator to own the end-to-end administration, deployment, maintenance, migration, and support of Informatica platforms across PowerCenter, IDMC/IICS and CDI-PC, primarily hosted in AWS EC2 environments.

The role requires strong hands-on expertise in Informatica administration, cloud infrastructure, platform upgrades, migration, security, version control, production support, automation and AI-assisted operational practices.

The candidate should also have practical knowledge of Generative AI and AI-assisted tools, with the ability to leverage AI for troubleshooting, documentation, scripting, operational automation, knowledge management and improving platform administration efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  ●  Own end-to-end administration of Informatica PowerCenter, IDMC/IICS and CDI-PC platforms.
  ●  Perform installation, configuration, patching, upgrades and maintenance of Informatica platforms.
  ●  Administer Informatica Secure Agents deployed on AWS EC2.
  ●  Configure and manage IDMC integrations with AWS Secrets Manager for secure connection and password management.
  ●  Integrate and manage Bitbucket/Git-based version control for Informatica projects and code.
  ●  Monitor platform health, services, Secure Agents, application components and infrastructure.
  ●  Support planned and unplanned maintenance, deployments, troubleshooting and production incidents.
  ●  Coordinate with Informatica Global Customer Support for product issues, defects and complex technical problems.
  ●  Support Assurance Service deployment and operational processes.
  ●  Work closely with application, data engineering, DevOps, security and infrastructure teams.
  ●  Optimize AWS resource utilization and establish operational processes for EC2-based Informatica environments.
  ●  Troubleshoot connectivity, authentication, Secure Agent, repository, domain, runtime and deployment-related issues.
  ●  Maintain platform documentation, operational procedures, installation guides and recovery procedures.
  ●  Participate in on-call/production support activities when required.
  ●  Identify opportunities for automation and AI-assisted operational improvements across Informatica administration and support processes.

  ●  Ability to use AI-generated scripts/code responsibly and validate outputs before production use.
  ●  Awareness of AI security, data privacy and responsible AI practices.
  ●  Knowledge of Python, SQL or shell scripting for AI-assisted automation is preferred.

  ●  Strong Linux/Unix administration experience.
  ●  Experience working with AWS-hosted Informatica environments.
  ●  Experience in cloud migration and modernization of Informatica platforms.
  ●  Knowledge of Informatica architecture, domains, nodes, repositories, integration services and application services.
  ●  Experience handling high-severity production incidents.
  ●  Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  ●  Good understanding of enterprise security, authentication and access management.
  ●  Experience coordinating with vendor/product support teams.
  ●  Good communication skills and ability to work with distributed technical teams.
  ●  Experience implementing automation or AI-assisted solutions for IT/platform operations.
  ●  Exposure to Python, Shell scripting, SQL or other scripting languages.
  ●  Awareness of modern AI/GenAI and AIOps concepts.

• 4-6 years of work experience in relevant field


• B.Tech/B.E/M.Tech or MCA degree from a reputed university. Computer science background is preferred
