ETL Tester

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced ETL Tester with 5+ years of experience in validating data integration, transformation, and data warehouse solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data validation, database testing, and ETL processes, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and completeness of data across multiple systems.

The role involves working closely with data engineers, developers, and business analysts to validate ETL pipelines, verify data transformations, and ensure data quality across enterprise data platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform end -to -end testing of ETL processes including data extraction, transformation, and loading.
  

• Validate data movement between source systems and target data warehouses.
  

• Develop and execute SQL queries to validate data accuracy and integrity.
  

• Design and execute test cases, test plans, and test scenarios for ETL workflows.
  

• Validate data transformations, data mappings, and business rules.
  

• Perform data reconciliation and data quality validation.
  

• Identify, log, and track defects using defect tracking tools.
  

• Collaborate with developers and data engineers to troubleshoot and resolve data issues.
  

• Participate in data migration and data warehouse testing projects.
  

• Prepare test reports and provide insights on data quality and system performance.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in ETL and data warehouse testing.
  

• Strong experience with ETL tools such as Informatica PowerCenter, Talend, or Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services.
  

• Advanced knowledge of SQL for data validation and analysis.
  

• Strong understanding of data warehouse concepts, ETL architecture, and data pipelines.
  

• Experience testing large datasets and complex data transformations.
  

• Experience with relational databases such as Oracle Database, Microsoft SQL Server, or MySQL.
  

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify data discrepancies.
  

• Experience using defect tracking tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with big data testing platforms such as Apache Spark or Databricks.
  

• Familiarity with cloud -based data platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, or Google Cloud Platform.
  

• Experience with data automation or scripting using Python.
  

• Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments
