Job Purpose:

Responsible for executing end -to -end welding operations and ensuring the quality, safety, and efficiency of welding processes on the shop floor. The role involves maintaining welding machines and equipment, ensuring adherence to safety standards, and supporting continuous improvement in welding quality and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform end -to -end welding operations as per specifications and process guidelines.
  

• Ensure welding quality standards are maintained through regular inspection and adherence to quality check points.
  

• Identify and rectify welding defects using appropriate techniques.
  

• Operate and maintain welding machines and related equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
  

• Conduct routine maintenance and minor breakdown handling of machines to minimize downtime.
  

• Support shopfloor management activities, including housekeeping, material handling, and workflow organization.
  

• Participate in problem -solving activities to address process deviations or equipment issues.
  

• Follow and promote safety protocols at the shopfloor and job work sites.
  

• Maintain knowledge of machine parts, emergency buttons, and safety functions for smooth operation.
  

• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to improve process efficiency and product quality.
  

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong understanding of welding techniques, processes, and defect analysis
  

• Practical knowledge of machine operation and maintenance
  

• Ability to handle minor mechanical and electrical issues in machines
  

• Good understanding of safety measures for welding and shopfloor operations
  

• Problem -solving and troubleshooting ability
  

• Discipline in following standard operating procedures and quality checks
  

Qualifications & Experience:

• Qualification: ITI / Diploma in Welding, Mechanical, or related field
  

• Experience: 2–5 years in a welding or fabrication environment (preferably in a manufacturing setup)
  

Working Conditions:

• Shopfloor -based role with exposure to welding operations and machinery
  

• PPE compliance mandatory (helmet, gloves, safety shoes, etc.)
  

• May require shift work or extended hours based on production needs
