Summary

Responsibilities

• Manage and reconcile financial records using industry-standard software platforms, including BAS, Xero, and Mayob.
  
• Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) in strict accordance with Australian taxation laws and regulations.
  
• Conduct routine financial analysis to support decision-making processes and ensure compliance with internal policies.
  
• Maintain accurate general ledger entries and assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports.
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial workflows and improve overall departmental efficiency.
  
• Ensure all tax-related documentation is up-to-date and ready for potential audits or reviews.
  

• Possess a minimum of 3 to 6 years of relevant work experience within the financial services sector.
  
• Demonstrated proficiency in Australian taxation frameworks and the ability to navigate complex regulatory environments.
  
• Strong technical skills in key financial software, specifically BAS, Xero, and Mayob.
  
• Ability to work independently with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  
• Excellent organizational skills with a proven track record of meeting strict deadlines.
  
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interpret financial data for non-financial stakeholders.
