The M&A Consulting group advises clients on business strategy, business models, feasibility, options analysis, inbound/ outbound growth, M&A and Private Equity. They also assist clients in operationalizing business strategy and models. The group serves leading Indian and international corporate, venture capital and private equity funds seeking to grow their businesses through organic means or M&A and investment.
The Field Engineer (Civil) will be responsible for coordinating and delivering rural dairy farms set up and end-to-end supervision, and monitoring of farmer cow shed construction as per MKUY scheme of State Govt of Odisha. Candidate will follow the required standards and regulations as prescribed by State Govt of Odisha. Further coordination is required for APICOL/ MKUY Go‑Ahead/approval, ensuring that works are executed as per approved layout/BOQ, completed within timelines, within budget, and meeting quality and safety standards. The role requires daily on-ground coordination with farmers and local contractors, measurement verification, progress reporting, and issue resolution.
Key Responsibilities
•Take ownership of cow shed construction execution for allotted farmer projects from Go‑Ahead received until completion and handover readiness
•Conduct site assessment and layout marking (set-out) as per approved design/specifications; validate site readiness (access, water, power, drainage, foundation suitability)
•Support creation and validation of BOQ / estimates, ensuring alignment with applicable local construction norms and approved rates (e.g., OPWD schedule/rate references where applicable)
•Manage local civil contractors/masons/suppliers for scope, timelines, and quality expectations
•Ensure quality control through inspection checkpoints and material verification (cement/steel/aggregate quality, curing, reinforcement, slope/drainage, roof fixation, finishing)
•Ensure cost control by preventing scope creep, validating measurements, approving running bills against actual progress, and proactively managing risks of cost overruns
•Ensure adherence to local construction guidelines and statutory requirements (safety, workmanship norms, spacing/ventilation/hygiene considerations for animal welfare)
•Capture and maintain geo-tagged photos and progress evidence at defined stages
•Escalate delays, disputes, and quality issues early; execute corrective actions and rework controls with contractors
•Coordinate with internal teams (field ops, procurement, banking/BC, veterinary) to align shed readiness with animal induction timelines
•Ensure site safety—contractor PPE compliance, safe storage of materials, hazard control, and incident reporting
Experience
5–6+ years of relevant experience in civil works execution with strong exposure to:
Site supervision and contractor management
BOQ/estimation and measurement verification
Rural/semi-urban construction projects (preferred)
Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering
