Job Description

Job Objectives 

The Transport Executive (RTM)  holds overall responsibility for the Control of site Transport operations and reporting of MIS reports. His main function is to prepare daily Transport MIS and Transport operations of site. He has to handle floor operations, transporters , fleet drivers and exposure to Freight master systems , SAP , GPS vehicle tracking systems and good Transport practices.

Job Responsibilities

• Daily Vehicles tracking report – at distributor end , at plant and enroute vehicles.


• MIS preparation – Turn around time of vehicles (TAT) , Loadabilty, daily vehicles utilization , 1 way utilization , Freight cost tracking , Vehicles detention tracking and palletization of vehicles.


• Tracking of vehicles through GPS and improve the vehicles  TAT,  monitoring of its delays , maximum utilization of assets.


• Transport vendors performance tracking weekly & monthly , corrective actions for improvement and monitoring of compliances.


• Adherence to time slot planning and support to shipping to make available of vehicles accordingly on daily basis.


• Coordinating with drivers and transporters for resolve of daily operational issues and smooth functional activities.


• Monitoring and support to trip closures of transport vendors and coordinate for transport payments timely release.


• Ensure the transport cost lines with in the given budget.


• Coordinate to shipping team for timely dispatches & ensure the vehicles available accordingly .    


• Monitor the safety & statutory compliances of all concern transport vehicles timely and its corrective actions

EXPERIENCE: Minimum 6 years of experience in a supervisory position.

EDUCATION: Should be a Graduate (Any Stream).
