Skills : Mainframe DBA

Job Description: We
are seeking an experienced It is DB2 SYSTEM PROGRAMMER z/os or DB2SYSTEM DBA z/os to
join our team.

What we are looking for:

·       DB2 system programmer
wanting to build a long -term career at Colruyt Group

·       A clear communicator
in English and a team player.

·       An Engineering
graduate in Computer Science or equivalent from a reputed institute with ‘8+’
years of experience in IT environment with database skills

·       Ability to work in
shifts (until 20:30IST)

·       Ability to work on
calls.

Must Have Skills:

·       Experience with Db2
and other tools maintenance processes to be able perform preventive
maintenance, function level upgrade and version upgrade. 

·       Expertise in
administering DB2 databases on z/OS.

·       Proven ability in
database maintenance, including regular backups, housekeeping and performance
tuning.

·       Demonstrated
experience in database recovery and executing DRP procedures.

·       Experience in
providing production support.

·       Ability to
effectively apply learned skills independently, even without Standard Operating
Procedures (SOPs).

·       Experience with the
following DBA tools is a plus: BMC Apptune, BMC AMI Ops, BMC Log Master, IBM
Cloning Tool, and IBM Change Manager.

·       Experience in copying
production data to lower environments.

·       Essential knowledge
of JCL, SQL, REXX, and ISPF.

Nice to Have Skills:

·       Familiarly in
designing efficient database schemas to optimize performance and scalability.

·       Familiarity with
scheduling tools like BMC Control -M.

·       Familiarity with IBM
Db2 Analytics Accelerator (IDAA)

·       Familiarity with
Python, Git, Jenkins, and Jira is a plus.

·       Familiarity with
ticketing tools such as HPSM or ServiceNow (SNOW).

·       Advantageous to have
knowledge of Physical Data Models (PDM) and Logical Data Models (LDM).

What do we expect from you on a daily basis

·       Provide daily support
and operations for the mainframe database.

·       Collaborate closely
with application developers and other stakeholders.

·       Leverage familiarity
with the Colruyt IT environment to assess potential impacts.

·       Execute and follow
conscientiousness procedure.

·       Resolve database
issues promptly and accurately within designated timeframes.

·       Recognize when
escalation is necessary and take appropriate action.

·       Analyze complex
situations and effectively apply acquired knowledge to implement solutions.

·       Document solutions
implemented for future reference.

·       Demonstrate eagerness
to learn across various aspects.

·       Perform database
enhancements and modifications as required.

·       Conduct
troubleshooting and maintenance across multiple databases.

·       Ensure that database
infrastructure remains operational at all times.

·       Maintain the
integrity, availability, and performance of database systems through technical
support and ongoing maintenance.

·       Work on projects as
needed.
