FACADE HEAD

We are seeking a dynamic and highly experienced Head of Facade to lead the design, engineering, and execution of complex facade systems for prestigious, high-value projects across India. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facade engineering, proven leadership capabilities, and a passion for delivering innovative, sustainable, and technically sound solutions in collaboration with elite architects and consultants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the in-house and external facade design and engineering teams across multiple large-scale projects.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, and MEP teams to ensure facade designs align with the overall project vision and functionality.
• Drive technical excellence in facade systems including curtain walls, unitized panels, structural glazing, cladding systems (ACP, GRC, stone, metal), and bespoke envelopes.
• Oversee the preparation, review, and approval of shop drawings, material submittals, and mock-ups.
• Evaluate facade proposals, conduct design audits, and ensure adherence to performance criteria (structural, thermal, acoustic, air/water tightness, fire rating).
• Identify and engage facade vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier and subcontractor performance.
• Ensure on-site facade installation meets project specifications, quality standards, and safety norms.
• Troubleshoot technical challenges and provide engineering solutions during construction and handover phases.
• Drive cost-effective facade engineering through value engineering and material optimization.
• Stay up-to-date with national and international building codes, sustainability requirements, and facade innovations.
• Represent the company in high-level client, consultant, and contractor meetings related to façade packages.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• 12-18 years of experience in facade design, engineering, and execution with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing facade works on landmark projects (residential towers, commercial complexes, mixed-use developments, hospitality, etc.) in India or internationally.
• Strong understanding of IS codes and international standards (ASTM, EN, BS, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with facade software tools like AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, Staad, and thermal/structural analysis software.
• Excellent project management, coordination, and communication skills.
• Strong network within the Indian facade supply chain, contractors, and fabricators.

Preferred Attributes:

• Professional certifications or memberships (IGS, SFE, GRCI, etc.).

• Experience in managing facade contracts in EPC or design-build project environments.
• Exposure to high-performance facades, green building certifications (IGBC, LEED), and cutting-edge facade materials or technologies.

• Willingness to travel for project site inspections across India.
