There is a
particular kind of teaching that happens when someone who has actually used SQL
in production explains joins to a first year student. Or when someone who has
debugged a memory cache miss walks through CPU scheduling on a whiteboard.
Theory clicks differently when it comes from someone who has lived it. That is
the kind of teacher we are looking for.

You will join Rishihood
University as an Assistant Professor of Practice focused on Computer
Architecture, Computer Fundamentals, RDBMS, and Advanced Excel. This is a deep
teaching role. You will not be building a track or managing curriculum at
scale. You will be doing something arguably harder: making complex systems
concepts genuinely click for students who are encountering them for the first
time.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

Teach Computer
Architecture covering Von Neumann design, instruction set architectures,
pipelining, and

memory hierarchy,
connecting every concept to how modern software actually runs

• Deliver Computer
Fundamentals on Number Systems, Boolean Algebra, and OS internals with enough

rigour that
students stop treating these as check -box subjects

• Lead RDBMS
courses on schema design, normalization, SQL, indexing, and transactions,
pushing students to

think like
database architects

• Run hands on
Advanced Excel sessions covering Power Pivot, array formulas, and data
validation for real

analytical use
cases

• Design lab
exercises that require students to apply systems knowledge to debugging and
optimization

problems, not just
reproduce lecture content

Job Specifications

A B.Tech degree in
a relevant field plus 4 to 8 years of teaching experience. Beyond the
qualification, here is what

we care about.

Technical Depth

• Strong grasp of
Computer Architecture: Von Neumann model, RISC vs CISC, pipelining, and cache
hierarchy.

You can teach this
from intuition, not just from slides

• Solid RDBMS
command: relational algebra, normalization, complex SQL, ACID transactions.
Working

experience in
PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle

• Firm Computer
Fundamentals: Number Systems, Boolean Algebra, logic gates, and OS concepts
including

scheduling and
memory management

• Advanced Excel
proficiency: Power Pivot, array formulas, data validation, and structured
analytical model

building

The Person

• You have 4 to 8
years of teaching experience and take the craft seriously. You prepare, you
revisit

explanations that
did not land, you care whether students actually understand

• Patient and
precise. You can meet a struggling student where they are without lowering the
bar for the class

Good to Have

• Industry
exposure in systems engineering or database administration alongside your
teaching career

• Familiarity with
RISC -V architecture, NoSQL systems, or Oracle DBA certificationThis job
