Finacle Product Engineer | Core Banking & Customization

Job Summary

Synechron is seeking an experienced Finacle Product Engineer to lead the customization, integration, and optimization of the Finacle Core Banking platform within our organization. This role is critical in ensuring the stability, efficiency, and scalability of Finacle deployments, supporting banking operations, and delivering innovative solutions aligned with business goals. The incumbent will work closely with clients, business analysts, and technical teams to implement best practices and enhance the platform’s capabilities in a secure, efficient, and compliant manner.

Software Requirements

Required Skills:

• Extensive hands-on experience with Finacle 11.x and product capabilities, customization, and architecture

• Strong expertise in Finacle 11 customization flows such as new menu creation, report generation (MRT & Jasper), batch jobs, and EOD/BOD processes

• Proven experience in handling Finacle interfaces (APIs, Connect 24, Finacle Integrator) and API development

• Advanced SQL, PL/SQL, stored procedures, triggers, and functions in Oracle environment

• Practical knowledge of Finacle scripting, Unix shell scripting, and report designing (including Jasper reports)

• Familiarity with CRM and Admin modules (FINFADM/SSOADM)

Preferred Skills:

• Finacle certifications from Infosys

• Experience in security, coding standards, and unit testing for Finacle customizations

Overall Responsibilities

• Perform customization, integration, and support activities for the Finacle platform in line with organizational standards

• Lead the technical design and implementation of enhancements, ensuring adherence to best practices and security standards

• Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather requirements and translate them into scalable solutions

• Maintain and improve the platform’s performance, stability, and security through ongoing research and R&D

• Document customization, configuration, and integration processes; ensure compliance with audit and security policies

• Manage interactions with clients during project delivery and support, ensuring high customer satisfaction

• Coach and mentor junior team members to develop technical competencies and best practices

Technical Skills (By Category)

Programming Languages:

• Required: SQL, PL/SQL, Unix shell scripting

• Preferred: Java, Python (for automation and scripting)

Databases & Data Management:

• Oracle Database (11g, 12c, 19c), knowledge of data migration, schema design, and performance tuning

Cloud Technologies:

• Basic understanding of cloud hosting and integration (Azure, AWS) (preferred)

Frameworks & Libraries:

• Jasper Reports, MRT, and other Finacle reporting tools

Development Tools & Methodologies:

• Finacle customization tools, Eclipse/other IDEs, Agile methodology, source control (Git)

Security & Standards:

• Knowledge of security best practices, access controls, and audit compliance in banking environments

Experience Requirements

• 7-12 years of experience working with Finacle Core Banking products, including customization and interface development

• At least 5 years of direct experience in Finacle 11.x and its customization architecture

• Proven client interaction experience, managing technical dialogs and delivering solutions

• Demonstrated expertise in SQL, PL/SQL, and report design within banking systems

Day-to-Day Activities

• Customize and enhance the Finacle application, including menu, report, and batch processes

• Develop and maintain interfaces, APIs, and integrations with external banking systems

• Troubleshoot production issues, optimize platform performance, and implement fixes

• Collaborate with business teams, project managers, and other stakeholders during project phases

• Document technical specifications, customization details, and process workflows

• Conduct code reviews and adhere to security, coding, and development standards

• Mentor junior team members and support continuous process improvement

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

• Relevant certifications in Finacle Product or Banking Solutions preferred

• Continuous professional development in banking technology solutions

• Effective communication skills for interaction with technical teams and clients
