Job Description - Financial Risk and Assurance, Analyst, Risk, Assurance, Governance & Control

We are looking to hire a Analyst in the Finance Risk and Assurance (FinRiA) specifically into the Regulatory Reporting Quality Assurance team (RRQA). The FinRiA group is represented in our New York, Glasgow, London, Tokyo and Hong Kong offices performing an oversight, governance and execution role in relation to the Finance SOT division in support of the Firm's operational risk programs and objectives. The group interacts across all areas of Finance, Firm Operational Risk Department, the Front Office, Internal Audit as well as Operations, providing accurate risk reporting across Finance whilst furthering the risk management culture and infrastructure.

What you'll do in the role:
> Collaborate with a varied group of colleagues in Finance and across the Firm
> Responsible for and lead a significant set of deliverables, leveraging advanced understanding of Finance functional area, product and/or client segment
> Proactively identify emerging risks in individual and department work and contribute to strategies for mitigating them
> Act as a role model and culture carrier; Embody and set an example of the Firm's values and hold yourself and others accountable to Firm standards
> Production of weekly and monthly key risk metrics reports for various Finance business units on a regional and global basis
> Analyse key risk indicators and contribute to the monthly metrics data coordination effort
> Working with Controllers to understand persistent issues
> Involvement in the analysis and delivery of risk reports and corresponding initiatives
> Participation in risk-related forums
> Working with representatives from other risk functions to ensure consistency of reporting
> Working and assisting on Change the Bank projects including performing of UAT etc. What you'll bring to the role:

> Willingness to learn Finance principles, tools and systems
> Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
> Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a professional environment
> Willingness to seek guidance and solicit feedback to further self-development
> MBA or Graduate in the field of Finance
> 2-3 years of work experience preferably in Finance Risk Reporting
> Strong Analytical Skills
> Excellent organisational and relationship management skills
> Strong written and verbal communication skills
> Must be highly motivated with the commitment required to consistently meet goals (ability to work both
independently and as an effective team member)
> Strong controls awareness
> Financial Products knowledge essential
> Proficient in MS Office, specifically a strong command in Excel and PowerPoint (including vlookups)
> At least 0-2 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
