At VETiNSTANT, an IIT Madras incubated startup. we believe in providing reliable data about pets to help veterinarians provide timely care and resolution. We are developing non-invasive handheld devices that allow anyone to gather clinically accurate data without causing pain to the animal. Our goal is to revolutionize animal healthcare and enable preventive and predictive care. We are currently working on ExamD, a diagnostic device for dogs, with plans to expand our range to include cats, cows, and horses.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Firmware Engineer Intern at VETiNSTANT located in Chennai. As a Firmware Engineer Intern, you will be responsible for tasks such as debugging, embedded software development, and working with ARM architecture. You will collaborate with the team to develop and test firmware for our innovative handheld devices. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of groundbreaking technology in the field of animal healthcare.

Qualifications:

• Pursuing or recently completed a degree in EEE,ECE or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of C/C++ programming languages.
• Familiarity with STM32 microcontrollers and STM32CubeMX.
• Assist in designing, coding, and debugging firmware for STM32 microcontrollers.
• Develop and maintain code using C/C++ and STM32 HAL/LL libraries.
• Implement and test peripheral interfaces such as UART, I2C, SPI, ADC, and PWM.
• Basic understanding of embedded systems and microcontroller architecture.
• Experience with debugging tools and techniques.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) such as FreeRTOS.
• Knowledge of wireless communication protocols (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi).
• Prior internship or project experience in embedded firmware development(STM32 microcontrollers and STM32CubeMX).
