Job Description - Flight Operations Specialist (UAVs)

About the Role

As a Flight Operations Specialist, you’ll be on the frontlines of all field operations. From assisting in flight tests and demos to ensuring smooth integration of systems in the field, you’ll play a hands -on role in proving our UAVs in real -world conditions. This position is ideal for someone who thrives on the field, and is excited to grow into operations leadership over time.

Key Responsibilities

Pilot: Assist in the setup, execution, and monitoring of internal flight tests, trials, and field demos.

User Demos: Support the Operations Manager in planning and conducting demonstrations, tailoring execution to specific client needs.

System Integration: Work hands -on with UAV subsystems—assembly, wiring, troubleshooting, and tuning—for mission readiness.

Testing & Feedback: Collect and document flight test data, support root -cause analysis, and channel insights to engineering teams.

Operational Documentation: Help create and refine SOPs, manuals, and maintenance checklists.

Tracking & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of operations, flight logs, and system performance.

Cross -Team Collaboration: Work closely with avionics, mechanical, and software teams to ensure seamless system integration.

Requirements

Qualifications

Passion for UAVs and willingness to get hands -on with hardware and flight operations.

1–3 years of hands -on experience in UAV/drone operations as a pilot.

DGCA Pilot License is a strong plus.

Comfortable with UAV assembly, soldering, wiring, and field troubleshooting.

Familiarity with UAV ground control software (Mission Planner, QGroundControl) and flight stacks (ArduPilot, PX4) is a plus.

Strong documentation and organizational skills.

Ability to adapt quickly in the field, solve problems under pressure, and work in a team -first environment.
