As a Manager within the Treasury team, you will lead and deliver client engagements related to issuing, investing in, or trading financial instruments. You bring deep expertise in applying accounting, tax, and regulatory standards to financial instruments and performing valuation analysis, with significant industry experience in Treasury (via a professional services consulting role or internally in a Treasury function). Well versed in IFRS financial instrument guidance especially derivatives and hedging and the application within Treasury, you will own engagement workstreams end-to-end, manage junior team members, drive client relationships, and contribute to business development. You will display strong problem-solving and leadership skills, adaptability to changing market conditions, strategic thinking, and proficiency in industry software and tools.

As a Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. You will take ownership of engagement delivery, coach and develop team members, manage stakeholder relationships, and contribute to the growth of the practice.

Demonstrating extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success in leading engagements within a professional services consulting firm, including, but not limited to, the following areas:
Demonstrating deep and authoritative knowledge of hedging strategies and application of hedge accounting requirements under IFRS, with the ability to design hedging solutions and advise clients on complex hedge accounting structures;
Demonstrating significant experience valuing derivatives, including interest rate swaps, FX, options, forward contracts, swaps, etc., with ownership of valuation methodology selection and review;
Leading engagements involving financial instruments hedging, treasury and derivatives accounting, and embedded derivatives assessment;
Structuring and advising on complex transactions in new and established products through deep understanding of complex and/or new accounting and tax standards;
Leveraging business intelligence and performance management software tools to drive insights and inform client decision-making;
Owning the development, validation, and governance of quantitative risk models, including oversight of junior team members’ modelling work
Leading the build and enhancement of credit, market and liquidity risk models (e.g., portfolio models, copula‑based simulations, factor models), ensuring alignment with regulatory and internal standards.
Directing simulation‑based quantification approaches (e.g. CVaR, UL, EL, Expected Shortfall) and reviewing outputs for accuracy and completeness.
Overseeing model validation, sensitivity analysis, back‑testing and documentation of model limitations in accordance with regulatory expectations (e.g. CRR III, CRD VI), ensuring deliverables meet client and regulatory quality standards.
Leading financial instrument valuation engagements
Owning fair value measurement of derivatives, bonds, structured products and embedded derivatives under IFRS 13 and IFRS 9, providing expert judgement on complex valuation matters.
Critically reviewing and challenging valuation methodologies used by clients (e.g. Hull‑White, Monte‑Carlo, binomial trees) including assumption checks, calibration approaches, and recommending improvements.
Leading disclosure compliance assessments in financial statements (IFRS 7/13) and advising clients on best-practice reporting.
Managing complex audit and advisory engagements
Acting as a lead quantitative specialist within audit and advisory teams, providing authoritative guidance on risk analytics, valuation testing and treasury‑related assessments.
Providing strategic direction and technical guidance to engagement teams on model‑related questions, financial instrument disclosures, and complex accounting matters.
Driving quality, compliance, risk management and governance
Ensuring all engagement deliverables, models and analyses adhere to PwC’s rigorous risk & compliance standards, taking accountability for quality outcomes.
Overseeing documentation of methodology, assumptions and results to meet internal, client and regulatory quality expectations, and conducting quality reviews of team outputs.
Leveraging digital tools, data analytics and driving innovation
Using and directing the use of programming languages and modelling environments (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB, SQL) to build, automate and scale quantitative analytics, consistent with PwC’s focus on data & automation. Identifying opportunities to enhance delivery through technology and digital solutions.
Demonstrating advanced proficiency in utilizing technology and industry software for efficient financial analysis, reporting, and client-ready deliverables.
Demonstrating deep expertise in financial reporting processes and technical accounting, including: leading analyses, research, and documentation of complex and emerging accounting, regulatory and financial reporting topics; writing, communicating, facilitating, and presenting cogently to and/or for all levels of industry audiences, clients, internal staff and senior management.
Demonstrating advanced skills in accounting and financial reporting under IFRS, with the ability to provide authoritative guidance and review the work of others.
Ensuring the team produces high-quality work that adheres to professional standards, staying current with technical developments in areas of specialisation, and maintaining rigorous data governance and information handling practices.
Leading communications with engagement teams and clients, managing expectations, and presenting findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
Upholding the firm’s code of ethics and business conduct, and fostering a culture of integrity, accountability and ethical behaviour within the team.
Managing engagement economics, budgets, timelines and resource allocation to ensure profitable and timely delivery of client engagements.
Coaching, mentoring and developing Senior Associates and Associates, providing regular performance feedback and supporting their career progression.
Building and nurturing client relationships, identifying opportunities for additional services, and contributing to business development initiatives and proposals.
Contributing to thought leadership, knowledge sharing, and the development of new areas of strategic growth and methodologies within the Treasury practice.
Identifying and escalating engagement risks proactively, implementing appropriate mitigation strategies and ensuring adherence to independence and regulatory requirements.
Depending on the specific position within Financial Markets & Real Estate (FMRE), play an integral role as a Manager on PwC’s FMRE team leading engagements. This will include understanding business objectives of the company, defining scope of services, managing delivery timelines, and ensuring the team possesses the skills needed to successfully perform the work.

Big 4's – similar experience in a leadership or senior delivery capacity
Financial Services Companies / Investment Banks / Credit Rating Agencies specifically in controllership or risk management profiles
Demonstrated experience in banking, quantitative risk management, financial modelling, auditing of financial instruments, or related areas with progressive responsibility.
Deep expertise in regulatory and accounting frameworks (IFRS 9/13/7, CRR III, CRD VI) with the ability to advise clients on interpretation and application.
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Python, R, MATLAB or similar modelling tools, with the ability to review and direct others’ technical work.
Expert knowledge of stochastic modelling, derivatives valuation, curve construction, calibration techniques, and simulation methods.
Comprehensive understanding of treasury processes and risk frameworks, with the ability to assess and advise on treasury operating models.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present complex technical matters to senior and non-technical audiences
Proven ability to lead teams, delegate effectively, and deliver high-quality work within deadlines while managing competing priorities
Demonstrated self-motivation, ownership mindset, and commitment to personal and team growth and development

Minimum 5 years for credentialed candidates
Minimum 7 years for non-credentialed candidates

Strong understanding of corporate financial statements and various types of securities/Financial Instruments

Qualifications

Credentials:
