Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Fortinet Firewall Engineer to join our dynamic IT services team. In this role, you will play a critical part in delivering secure, scalable, and high -performance network solutions to enterprise clients. You will be responsible for designing, deploying, and supporting Fortinet firewall appliances, including conducting proof -of -concept (POC) demonstrations, providing pre -sales technical support, and troubleshooting complex firewall and network issues. With a strong foundation in security infrastructure and hands -on experience with Fortinet’s ecosystem, you will contribute to client evaluations, solution validation, and the successful implementation of next -generation firewall (NGFW) technologies. - Design, configure, and deploy Fortinet firewall appliances in diverse network environments. 

- Lead and execute demo and POC deployments to showcase product capabilities and validate solution fit for client requirements. 

- Provide technical pre -sales support, including solution design, proposal development, and client presentations. 

- Conduct in -depth client evaluations by analyzing security needs, compliance requirements, and performance expectations. 

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex firewall and network -related issues in production and test environments. 

- Collaborate with sales, engineering, and delivery teams to ensure seamless solution implementation. 

- Maintain up -to -date knowledge of Fortinet’s latest technologies, features, and best practices. 

- Support integration of Fortinet firewalls with existing security infrastructure, including SIEM, endpoint protection, and cloud platforms. 

- Document technical configurations, deployment procedures, and troubleshooting guides for knowledge sharing and future reference.

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 

- 1–3 years of hands -on experience with Fortinet firewall appliances (FortiGate series) or related products. 

- Proven experience in conducting POCs, demos, and client evaluations in a technical or pre -sales capacity. 

- Strong understanding of firewall technologies, including NGFW, IPS/IDS, SSL inspection, VPN (IPsec & SSL), and threat prevention. 

- Familiarity with competing firewall platforms such as Cisco ASA, Sophos, SonicWall, or Palo Alto. 

- Certification in Fortinet Network Security Expert (NSE) level 3 or higher is highly preferred. 

- Solid knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, and network security principles. 

- Excellent problem -solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve network and firewall issues under pressure. 

- Strong communication and presentation skills for engaging with technical and non -technical stakeholders. 

- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross -functional team in a fast -paced environment. 

- Willingness to travel for client engagements and on -site deployments as required.
