General Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Core Securities Finance & Client Facing Skills

•    Expert functional knowledge of Securities Finance business processes, including Repo, Reverse Repo, Securities Lending & Borrowing (Agency, Principal, Broker/Dealer models), Collateral Management, Margining, and related lifecycle events

•    Strong front to back understanding of SecFinance workflows, covering trade capture, lifecycle processing, settlements, corporate actions, billing, reconciliations, and exception management

•    Proven experience in a client facing consulting role, serving as a trusted advisor and primary functional point of contact

•    Ability to translate complex client business requirements into clear functional specifications, data models, and implementation ready documentation

•    Hands on experience supporting UAT and client acceptance activities, including test case design, execution support, defect analysis, and coordination with development teams

•    Solid knowledge of market infrastructures, messaging standards, and best practices, including SWIFT MT5xx and ISO 20022

•    Strong awareness of regulatory and risk considerations impacting Securities Finance, including collateral eligibility, exposure management, and regulatory reporting (e.g., SFTR)

Professional & Technical Competencies

•    In depth knowledge of financial services industry practices and enterprise financial systems

•    Advanced understanding of system development life cycles (waterfall, iterative, and modern delivery approaches)

•    Knowledge of application architecture and system integration principles

•    Proficiency in business modeling and requirements definition techniques, including UML and use cases

•    Familiarity with quality management methodologies, tools, and testing frameworks

•    Working knowledge of at least one relevant programming or scripting language

•    Excellent analytical, problem solving, decision making, and time management skills

•    Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and stakeholder management capabilities

•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with executive, management, and technical audiences

•    Resourceful, proactive, and comfortable working in complex, international, multi client environments

Job Level Description

Expert functional role requiring deep domain knowledge and independent judgment. The consultant designs and delivers large scale, highly complex client solutions involving significant business risk and impact. Works as a project, functional, or technical lead across multiple concurrent engagements, coaching and mentoring junior consultants. Operates with minimal supervision and full accountability for functional delivery. Typically requires a minimum of three years of senior level Technology Business Consultant experience or equivalent, including leadership roles on very large, multi month client projects.
