About the Role

We are looking for a high-ownership professional to take end-to-end responsibility for fund operations and internal accounting at Optima.

This is not a narrow execution role. A fund operations process partially exists today, and the person joining will be expected to maintain what works, rebuild what doesn't, and take complete ownership of the outcome.

You will work closely with our fund accountant and custodian, Nuvama, and broker, Zerodha, acting as the day-to-day interface to ensure smooth fund operations, resolve issues and manage exceptions. Internally, you will also own most of Optima's accounting requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Trade & Fund Operations

  Own day-to-day fund operations and ensure smooth execution.

  Coordinate with the fund accountant, custodian and broker.

  Handle operational issues, exceptions and edge cases.

  
  

Fund Accounting & Client Reporting

• 
  

  Oversee fund accounting processes.

  Ensure accurate and timely client reporting.

  
  


• 
  

  Coordinate with external partners wherever required.

  
  

Financial Planning & Analysis

• 
  

  Support financial planning and analysis.

  
  


• 
  

  Provide financial insights to support business decision-making.

  
  

Accounting, Tax & Statutory Compliance

• 
  

  Own Optima's internal accounting activities.

  Coordinate accounting, tax and statutory compliance requirements.

  Ensure accuracy and timely completion of financial processes.

  
  

What We're Looking For

• 
  

  CA strongly preferred; candidates with equivalent rigor may also be considered.

  
  


• 
  

  Approximately 4–7 years of post-qualification experience.

  
  


• 
  

  Hands-on experience in fund operations is essential.

  
  


• 
  

  Trade execution experience is a plus. Even experience managing your own personal trading account is relevant.

  
  


• 
  

  Strong ownership mindset — this is a single-owner role with support, rather than one seat within a large team.

  Comfortable working with ambiguity and unstructured problems.

  Energetic, hands-on and willing to build or improve processes rather than simply follow them.

Compensation

₹15 LPA+

We are open to candidates with higher compensation expectations where their experience and capabilities provide a compelling justification for the premium — particularly through deeper fund-operations expertise, strong accounting/finance ownership, CA qualification, trade-market exposure, or demonstrated ability to independently build and run critical processes.
