About the Role:
We are seeking a strategic fundraising professional who can strengthen donor relationships, identify funding opportunities across India and globally, and help shape the organisation’s overall fundraising direction.
This is not just an individual fundraising role. It involves working closely with other team members to design fundraising priorities, build a strong internal fundraising culture, and align organisational efforts with ecosystem opportunities.
You will have autonomy to develop and execute fundraising strategies while collaborating closely with the team and leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop a strong understanding of institutional funding and grants management aligned with organisational priorities and team-led ways of working.
Lead fundraising strategy, pipeline development, planning, and progress tracking against annual and long-term goals in coordination with the team.
Support other team leads in CSR and institutional fundraising efforts and contribute to joint funding opportunities.
Build and manage relationships with donors, foundations, philanthropic institutions, multilateral agencies, and global networks.
Develop high-quality grant proposals, concept notes, pitch decks, and fundraising materials in collaboration with internal teams.
Represent the organisation in donor meetings, presentations, convenings, and policy forums.
Act as an internal enabler for fundraising by helping teams understand and contribute to fundraising goals.
Work closely with programme and communications teams to align fundraising with organisational priorities.
Strengthen long-term donor engagement through stewardship, renewal, and relationship management.
Track fundraising budgets, KPIs, and progress, and share updates with the team and Board in a transparent manner.
Required Experience & Skills
5+ years of experience in partnerships, fundraising, or strategic alliances.
Experience in grant writing for institutional donors or philanthropic foundations.
Prior experience in women’s health, education, or social impact sectors is highly desirable.
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
Excellent written, verbal communication, and research abilities.
Degree in Business, Social Sciences, Public Health, or related field preferred.
Fluency in English and Hindi; Kannada is a bonus.
Based in Bangalore or willing to relocate.
Preferred Experience
Understanding of rural health and behaviour change programmes.
Experience in budget management and financial reporting.
Familiarity with national health policies in India and the global women’s and adolescent health ecosystem.
