Role Overview/What will you do:

The FX trade services technology team are responsible for building and maintaining the global FX trade management platform. The Quality Engineering Lead will be responsible for test strategy and execution within the FX Trade Services technology team.

• Ensure comprehensive end-to-end test coverage across the FX trade services platform – covering multiple front ends, multiple trade capture and processing flows, and downstream integration points (real-time feeds to systems such as risk and settlement and end of day feeds to systems such as finance and product control).

• Align testing strategy with FX technology and Citi objectives in collaboration with the head of quality engineering for FX technology.

• Collaborate closely with the development and dev ops teams to design and implement automated testing frameworks and embed quality processes into the development lifecycle.

• Supervise non-functional (performance and resilience) testing, working with the development teams to improve coverage and execution.

• Review and Improve unit test coverage and standards by working with the development teams to identify gaps and ensure the codebase is thoroughly tested at the unit level.

• Evaluate and adopt appropriate tools and technologies to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness across the team.

• Lead, mentor, and manage the QA team, overseeing test planning and execution to uphold high quality standards and timely delivery of releases.

 Experience Required:

• Experience 10+ years

• Extensive experience in software quality engineering with a proven track record of implementing test frameworks, test processes, and driving quality improvements

• Deep understanding of software testing methodologies tools, and processes – encompassing both manual testing and test automation practices.

• Hands-on expertise with test automation frameworks and tools (such as Selenium for web UI testing, and similar frameworks) and experience building automated test suites for APIs and backend services.

• Familiarity with modern development practices including Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines; ability to integrate automated tests into continuous integration workflows and proficiency with relevant tools (e.g. Gradle, Git) and scripting languages.

• Strong finance domain expertise to understand and test complex, mission-critical financial applications. Experience with trade management platforms (FX or other asset classes) is a strong plus.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or another numerate subject.
