Job Description - Gastroenterologist

â Colorectal Resection: Removal of part of the colon, typically due
to colorectal cancer, diverticulitis, or inflammatory bowel disease.

â Gastrectomy: Removal of part or all of the stomach, often used
for stomach cancer or severe ulcers.

â Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy: Minimally invasive removal of the
gallbladder.

â Esophagectomy: Removal of part or all of the esophagus, often for
esophageal cancer.

â Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection (ESD): A minimally invasive
technique to remove precancerous or early -stage cancerous lesions in
the digestive tract.

â Pancreaticoduodenectomy (Whipple Procedure): A complex surgery to
remove part of the pancreas, small intestine, and other tissues, often
due to pancreatic cancer.
