JD: Google Cloud Generative AI Developer – Senior Associate  

PwC US - Acceleration Center is at the forefront of innovation, and we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Generative AI Developer to join our dynamic team at the Senior Associate level. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and deploying cutting-edge Generative AI applications and intelligent agents, leveraging the full power of Google Cloud Platform and advanced AI techniques. 

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in software development, AI/ML, and specifically Generative AI, with deep expertise in agentic frameworks, large language models, and cloud-native development practices on GCP. You will play a crucial role in transforming business challenges into innovative, AI-driven solutions that deliver tangible value to our clients. 

Responsibilities: 

• Generative AI Development: Design, develop, and deploy robust Generative AI applications and AI agents from concept to production on Google Cloud Platform. 
• Agentic AI Implementation: Implement sophisticated agentic workflows, develop custom AI agents using Agent Development Kit, Gemini Enterprise / Agentspace, LangGraph, Langchain 
• GCP Service Integration: Leverage and integrate a wide range of Google Cloud services, including Vertex AI (Vertex AI Studio, Model Garden, Workbench, Endpoints, Pipelines) for model management, Vector Search for efficient RAG applications, Gemini Models (e.g., Gemini Pro, Flash), Document AI for intelligent document processing, and Contact Center AI (CCAI) for conversational AI solutions. 
• AI Techniques & Algorithms: Apply advanced Generative AI techniques such as Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), advanced Prompt Engineering, Prompt Chaining, and Text-to-SQL for data interaction and others 
• Full-Stack Application Development: Build scalable and performant back-end APIs using Python (FastAPI, Flask) and contribute to or integrate with modern front-end applications developed with React.js. 
• API Design & Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust and secure APIs to interface with GenAI models and applications, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems. 
• Data Preparation & Management: Work with diverse datasets, preparing and optimizing data for training, fine-tuning, and inference of Generative AI models, including structured and unstructured data sources. 
• Collaboration & Communication: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including data scientists, product managers, and other engineers. Clearly articulate complex technical concepts and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 
• DevOps & MLOps: Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and MLOps practices for Generative AI applications on GCP. 

Requirements: 

• Experience Profile:  
• Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on experience specifically with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services. 
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Data Engineering or Data Science related roles. 
• Minimum 2 years of focused experience in Generative AI or Agentic AI development. 
• Programming & Application Development:  
• Strong proficiency in Python (3+ years preferred) with a proven track record of building and deploying scalable applications. 
• Demonstrated experience with Python web frameworks such as FastAPI and Flask. 
• Expertise in using Google Cloud APIs using python SDK is Must 
• Familiarity or direct experience with React.js for front-end development is highly desirable. 
• Solid experience in designing, developing, and consuming APIs. 
• Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Expertise:  
• Hands-on experience with core GCP services relevant to Generative AI development, including:  
• Vertex AI (Model Garden, Workbench, Pipelines, Endpoints) 
• Vector Search for embedding storage and retrieval 
• Experience working with Gemini Models (e.g., Pro, Flash) 
• Document AI for intelligent document processing 
• Contact Center AI (CCAI) for conversational AI applications 
• Containerization services (Google Kubernetes Engine - GKE, Cloud Run) 
• Cloud Storage, BigQuery, and Composer 
• Generative AI & Agentic AI Proficiency:  
• In-depth understanding and practical experience with Agentic Development Architectures and various Agent Development Kits. 
• Familiarity and willingness to work with Gemini Enterprise / Agentspace when applicable. 
• Proven experience in implementing Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) systems. 
• Expertise in Prompt Engineering and Prompt Chaining techniques. 
• Experience developing Text-to-SQL solutions for natural language interaction with databases. 
• Understanding of Agent-to-Agent (A2A) communication patterns. 
• Experience with leading LLM frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel) or directly leveraging native SDKs for Gemini/Vertex AI models. 
• Data & Database Skills:  
• Proficiency in SQL for data querying, manipulation, and schema design. 
• Understanding of data processing concepts relevant to Generative AI workloads. 
• System Design & DevOps:  
• Solid understanding of designing scalable, modular, and secure cloud-native applications, particularly for GenAI use cases. 
• Strong proficiency in version control systems (Git). 
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and MLOps practices within a GCP environment (e.g., Vertex AI Pipelines). 
• Communication:  
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely to diverse audiences. 

Preferred Skills: 

• GCP Certifications relevant to Machine Learning or Cloud Development (e.g., Professional Machine Learning Engineer, Professional Cloud Developer). 
• Experience with other cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) for comparative understanding.
