With the help of the Cargo departmental team controls day to day operation and management of safety and security functions in the Cargo Department.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Ensure maintaining ongoing compliance with the requirements of the relevant authorities, Akasa Air standards.
Formulate and suggest strategies / policies for cargo operations and sales. Develop and achieve the company’s objectives in coordination with the Corporate Management Team, under the leadership and supervision of the Chief Commercial Officer.
This position holder also monitors network yield performance per station per flight for Domestic/International, current market trend and suggests changes in the current pricing policy, RTD (Revenue Target Deals) floated in the market, gather the current market intelligence, and work out the sales strategy.
Responsible for drafting cargo sales policy and pricing.
Review the daily, weekly, and monthly reports of Cargo Managers for necessary actions.
Responsible for reporting to his superiors' occurrences, events, violations, and acts that may affect safety, security, and company reputation.
To ensure functioning of safety, security, and quality system within the area of responsibility.
To recommend new products to improve the market reach and improve the yields, pricing strategies and implement them across cargo Network, marketing plans and strategies to improve market reach and distribution of the product. This position also handles corporate clientele and services them with cost effective solutions.
Continuous follow up of work and monitoring of Company staff discipline, in addition to ensuring adherence to safety and security regulations from all staff for cargo operations.
Implement and monitor Service Level Agreements with cargo agents in measurable terms.
Reviewing manpower status of all stations in view of operational requirement and to coordinate with HR Department for selection/ recruitment of manpower.
Represent Cargo department in management review meetings and raise the important issues which are affecting safety and security of the operations.
Formal graduation in any discipline will be preferred.
Preferred relevant work experience:
Should have a minimum working experience of 08 years in Airline/ Logistics industry. Should have held a managerial position for 3 years in airline looking after cargo business.
Assigned to handle responsibilities of Cargo operation, follow up work progress, performance, and discipline at the stations, and take necessary actions to avoid occurrence of any flaws, in addition to updating CCO of any remarks or difficulties.
