General Manager - Consolidation & Financial Reporting

Job Description

A General Manager - Consolidation & Financial Reporting in Olam Agri is responsible for managing the corporate consolidation function of the group and delivering accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting. The role ensures robust financial controls, adherence to IFRS standards, and the establishment of effective, technology-enabled consolidation and reporting frameworks. The incumbent will work closely with cross-functional, country, and business unit teams across geographies to drive standardisation, improve reporting efficiency, and support strategic decision-making through high-quality financial insights.

Job Location: Chennai, India

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and review of consolidated financial statements under IFRS (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow, segment reporting, and notes)


• Manage multi-entity, multi-currency consolidation processes across global operations


• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closing cycles and ensure timely reporting for the listed entity


• Perform financial analysis and prepare key reports and CEO/CFO decks


• Manage group audits and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements


• Act as IFRS Centre of Excellence, including handling complex transactions and technical accounting matters


• Drive implementation of new IFRS standards, accounting policies, and impairment assessments


• Coordinate with country finance teams to ensure accuracy, compliance, and standardisation of reporting


• Resolve accounting and disclosure issues in collaboration with regional controllers


• Support implementation and optimisation of consolidation systems and reporting processes

Job Requirements

Experience 

• 12+ years of post-qualification experience in group consolidation and financial reporting


• Strong expertise in IFRS / IND AS and complex accounting matters


• Proven experience in managing global consolidation across multiple entities and geographies


• Experience in financial systems implementation; knowledge of SAP BPC preferred (exposure to OneStream/Hyperion is acceptable)


• Strong analytical ability to interpret complex financial data and provide insights

Qualifications

• Qualified Chartered Accountant
