The General Manager Finance will be a key member of the executive leadership,
team, responsible for driving financial strategy, governance, compliance, and operational
excellence. The CFO will oversee all financial aspects of the organization, ensuring strong
financial health, regulatory compliance (including Indian and global aerospace standards),
and long -term value creation. The role requires deep expertise in manufacturing finance,
capital -intensive operations, government contracts, export regulations, and the aerospace sector
dynamics.
Key Responsibilities.
1. Strategic Financial Leadership
ï· Develop and execute financial strategy aligned with company growth objectives.
ï· Partner with CEO and Board to drive long -term business planning and capital
allocation.
ï· Lead financial modelling for new programs, product lines, and international
expansion.
ï· Support M&A activities, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships.
2. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
ï· Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and multi -year financial planning.
ï· Drive cost control initiatives across manufacturing operations.
ï· Implement KPI dashboards for production efficiency, program margins, and working
capital optimization.
ï· Analyse program profitability, including defence and commercial aerospace contracts.
3. Regulatory& Compliance Oversight
ï· Ensure compliance with Indian regulatory bodies such as:
ï· Ministry of Corporate Affairs
ï· Securities and Exchange Board of India (if listed)
ï· Directorate General of Civil Aviation
ï· Ensure adherence to international aerospace regulations (e.g., ITAR, export controls).
ï· Oversee internal audits, statutory audits, and tax compliance (GST, corporate tax,
customs duties).
4. Capital & Treasury Management
ï· Manage cash flow, working capital, and banking relationships
ï· Structure project financing for capital -intensive aerospace programs.
ï· Optimize debt -equity mix and manage investor relations (if applicable).
ï· Oversee forex risk management for global supply chain operations.
5. Manufacturing & Cost Accounting
ï· Implement robust cost accounting systems tailored to aerospace production cycles.
ï· Monitor inventory valuation, tooling investments, and capex planning.
ï· Drive lean manufacturing financial controls.
ï· Ensure accurate program costing and contract accounting.
6. Risk Management & Governance
ï· Develop enterprise risk management (ERM) framework.
ï· Lead insurance strategy for high -value aerospace assets.
ï· Strengthen internal controls and corporate governance frameworks.
ï· Serve as Company Secretary liaison (if applicable).
7. Team Leadership
ï· Lead finance, accounts, procurement finance, compliance, and IT finance teams.
ï· Build high -performance teams with strong succession planning.
ï· Foster cross -functional collaboration with operations, supply chain, and engineering.
Qualifications & Experience
ï· Chartered Accountant (CA)
ï· 15–20+ years of progressive finance leadership experience.
ï· Minimum 8–10 years in manufacturing; aerospace/defence experience preferred.
ï· Experience working with government contracts and global OEMs.
ï· Strong knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS), IFRS.
ï· Experience in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle preferred).
ï· Proven track record in capital raising and financial restructuring (if required)
