General Manager Finance

Key Responsibilities:

1) Financial Reporting:

• Oversee the preparation and accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards (IFRS, GAAP).
• Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and address audit findings.

2) Regulatory Compliance:

• Ensure adherence to all relevant financial regulations and laws.
• Keep abreast of changes in financial regulations and implement necessary changes in the company's policies and procedures.
• Prepare and submit regulatory reports in a timely manner.

3) Internal Controls:

• Develop and maintain robust internal control systems to safeguard company assets.
• Conduct regular reviews and audits of financial processes and controls.
• Implement improvements to internal controls based on audit findings and risk assessments.

4) Team Leadership:

• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team to enhance their skills and performance.
• Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide continuous feedback and development opportunities.

5) Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Collaborate with the finance team to develop annual budgets and financial forecasts.
• Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis.
• Assist in the preparation of strategic plans and financial models.

6) Cash Flow Management:

• Oversee cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds for operational needs.
• Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions.

7) Strategic Financial Management:

• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
• Participate in long-term financial planning and risk management strategies.
• Support mergers, acquisitions, and other financial transactions as needed.

Qualifications:

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).
• 5-10 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial management, preferably in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and other relevant accounting standards.
• Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Excellent understanding of internal controls and risk management.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
